I gotta with Jason and say its better to have new bushings(even if they quality isn't as oem) than sell a car old bushings which probably wont last as long anyway I myself wouldn't care if lesser quality was used in this case, it would still be far better than your average NZ'er who would only replace something because it failed a wof. Burning my hard earned money for feel good factor would make me wonder wtf i was thinking, as from my experience of selling cars the odds are no one would truly appreciate it or give a toss.

They probably last half as long as oem but if you not going to keep the car for forever you do save a lot of money. Ive yet to replace a diff bushing on all the E34's ive owned. Ive only had to do subframe bushes once and wouldn't touch them if they're fine(assuming its a daily driver).

Ive got spare one i can rip out if you need it urgent.
-
Yeah yellow single adjustables. I purchased mine from shox.com and iirc they were around 1k landed at the time

Ran Bilstein\H&R sports in my E30 with 15" alloys for years and found them a bit harsh on bad roads especially when going over ruts etc, wouldn't call it a smooth ride but i could live with it. I know they can be re-valved to make them better but i dont think they will ever be as good as Koni's. While not an E30 the Koni's my E34 & E32 were better in every way than when ive had bilsteins in them. Im running Oem Boge sport shocks with Vogtland springs atm in my E34 and it rides pretty well, sits perfect for me and handles nicely, a perfect balance.

E46 lowering springs? Want good handling also

Turner motorsport do H&R springs for most BMW's. Got some springs off them awhile back for bit under 500NZD landed How you spent $1000USD on springs. -
Some nice 17's on it would make it look alot better.
-
Haha i used to do that in a E30 i had but it was auto with cruise control, it was like being a tank commander with the hatch open.
-
Yeah was more a reference to trademe, the deals only you know about will always be king. Ive got a mint E34 shell this would be perfect for
-
Sth Island always has the best deals
-
Yeah thats only bad thing about the M30, the M60 is more economical haha. The cars are so cheap for what you get and still make decent power so i never cared.

How can anyone advise against one of the best BMW's ever made - The E34 535i Was it auto or manual? Not too many E34's with low km as they were built to last, but at those km id say the engine should be fine if its been looked after but suspension and cooling system may need an overhaul. One of cheaper BM's maintenance wise with good reliability and alot less parts to go wrong\replace

My parents have got exactly the same spec'd car expect its manual and on 18's. One of the reason's the guy was selling it as rode to firm for him as well. For me its a good balance and while my parents dont rave about the ride quality they can live with it easy enough. About changing it: E46's on 15's look average but 15's with the Mtech kit would look horrible and so will raising the ride height. From what ive read and experienced the spring rates of M spec springs aren't alot stiffer than stock so id say its more the valving of the sport shocks that give it the harder ride. Edit: Did you not notice the ride quality when you test drove the car?

While i do prefer the E38 looks over a little over the E32 the E32 beats it on interior quality, after the E38 everything looks bad even the engines bays -
Sounds like its gone from a minor problem into a major

Any OEM pads such as Jurid, Mintex, Texar, Ate will do everything bar heavy track use. The times ive had to replace mine locally id usually go for Mintex in the redbox from BNT
-
If its got a good history who gives a sh*t about the k's, for all anyone knows it could of had a rebuild and be tidier than one half the mileage
-
Looking thru the Remus catalog all their mufflers weren't compatible with M-tec rear skirt either.
-
Wheels are too big
-
No idea what its worth but its a stupid plate that you would have to pay to me use.

Never seen poly bushes for idler arm, wouldn't be much point really. You can buy the bush separate but easier to just to buy the complete arm as its not much more I bought a pair E34 powerflex swaybar bushes from ebay for under $100, but im not sure how that compares to local prices.
-
I found RE001 decent but yeah the sidewalls were had a low load rating and a bit soft for a heavy bm. 97W load rated 050A's are real firm
-
Decent price. Capital Tyres were doing similar pricing on them awhile ago($240ea or something) and a few other outfits, people must not of been buying them. I wanted to try Rosso's but no one seemed to stock them but im happy i bought RE050's instead, i can see why so many manufactures fitted them as standard.

Maroon one looks tidy from photos. Price seems pretty standard to me assuming nothing wrong with it.

Just needs some lowering and better rims
