I agree with Ray, judging a car by mileage is a rookie move. It looks like a great example

Should have the proper tool in the rhs of the boot unless someone removed it, otherwise a screw driver wedged in to pop it works fine. Ive done it more times than i can remember so i doubt you will break anything, BBS alloys are quality.
-
Id check to make sure it actually has sport shocks not some inferior ones as originals may have been replaced at those km. A good drive will usually tell you if you what good shocks should feel like.

Yeah it could be a 13mm and its on the pulley, i know what you mean but it doesn't come undone. You can slot a punch etc to hold tension but i managed to do it without needing to.
-
Should be tensioner lug bolt on middle pulley(17mm iirc) which you put a socket or spanner on and rotate anti clockwise to release tension
-
Best guess it may be the coolant temp sensor(blue plug) playing up if ignition components are good and you have no vac leaks.

That wheel arch gap is massive, probably due to the wrong size tyres

Looks sweet, good to see it finally going too.

I could never be sad over a E60

I know both have been on for along so just assumed they cant be desperate or really wanting to sell them. The 535i has kept going up in price from 5k, looked bad for a 5k let alone 8k
-
ACS. Cant say i like the other ones either

Olds have had their E46 318i motorsport spec with the M43B19 since 40,000km, they've done another 40,000 on it and its still going strong. Apart from being next level slow the M43 is a pretty solid motor and gets real good fuel economy for a heavy car, probably from all the electrical engine components it seems to have. Interior is far better quality and than E36 Had to replace the DISA valve and FSU for blower motor both of which are common issues buts that all besides basic maintenance.
-
Was going say how could it have been serviced all its life but need a recon at 200.000km
-
Got my 535is for just over 4k same rims, specs and similar km's to the white one, just different colour paint and interior Only bad thing about them is the fuel economy which would put people off, i know i probably wouldn't daily my if i lived in Auckland etc or did alot of city driving. The E38 740il gets far better economy and that thing weights around 2 ton.

I dont think ive ever seen an E34 subject to this treatment, especially an iS http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-568114705.htm

Trashing it around the track
-
You think 164,000 is high km's?
-
E34 M5's are a lot harder and then you got E28 M5's
-
Offset is way off unless you run some 20mm spacers

I usually start from 250kpa(36psi) as and work up 3pedals, you should end up in the 36-39psi range With my RE050A's having 97 load rating and very little flex 36psi seems to be the balance.

Got mine off ebay but most suspension shops should be able to source them too. I saw nzad selling some on powerflex ones trademe for $150 a pair the other day. I went poly over M5\750i ones as only arms i could source at the time were ones without bushings pressed in so i figured i shouldn't have to do it again anytime soon with poly. If you can get arms with the std bushing already pressed in id just go with that as its alot easier and cheaper.

Number 07 and 08. Easier to get an arm with the bush included though unless you going poly bushes like i did so they last
