Good work Ryan, it looks like you wrapped the cloth around the curves on the parcel shelf well. I can't believe HS 90 is $40 a can now!? Wow. And re: the above comments on Alcantara, are you guys saying Alcantara is some form of natural suede? I thought it was a synthetic material and costs a lot of $.

That's good to hear Graham... have to say I'm surprised as I was half expecting you to say there is a big difference between the M5 and 540 (at least in terms of feel I would have thought they are quite different cars). Gotta say the toys in the newer cars are fun though

Don't think Graham sold it... From Carjam the plate change was when it was listed by Trading Post. So maybe he traded it in? Maybe he'll chime in. Anyone know if the black Chch M5 has been sold?

Time attack would work on Glenn's IMO. But gunmetal would also look good Glenn - I used to have gunmetal versions of yours and they work. I reckon silver cars look good with darker coloured wheels.

No majors I can think of, just facelifted grills and indicators, possibly ASC, and the later car may have rubber straps in the boot floor. The later cars will also have the black valve cover.

And I think you can use the engine as an indication of facelift too, ie: E39 523 & 528 pre-FL, 525 and 530 FL? Hard to go by the headlight/tail lights as especially in other countries where cars are more pricey the importers puts the facelift lights on to make the car more saleable.

So true... Glad nothing happened to you. Best thing is to lock the doors, roll down the window just enough to have a conversation then if they go crazy get out of there ASAP, situations like that are very unpredictable. -

Your car might be able to close the windows and sunroof if you hold the key past the locking position when you lock the car manually. Not quite the same, but still cool
