yeah I got that bit

Or E32 V8 for half the price. Pity I don't really like the E38's.

Hi folks Any body know this car? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1043692793 I'm interested and I'd love some feedback on pricing. I'm after either an E23 or E32. This looks like it's in good condition but is the buy now price a bit high? Cheers
-
Hmm, I'm actually a bit interested in this, might be a bit far away though... Going to give it some thought.
-
Couldn't even clean the wheels.
-
Yeah, I'm not really in the market for a parts car. Looking for something in better condition to give my love to!
-
That's my thinking too. Figured I could get a E34 or E32 in really good nic, do a conversion and probably still have change left over.

What do you think this is worth guys? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-958526308.htm Body and interior are ok. Only ok. Could be tidied with a few new bits etc etc. Noticed the speedo is in miles. Seller claims 257k km, but carjam shows it (speedo) has been replaced some time ago, around 2009 so suspect it is closer to 300k km, poss more. Still, drove ok, although seemed a bit 'soft' in the rear. My gut tells me it might be best for parts. Thoughts?

Anyone know who bought this? I'm gutted. Had to get some things organised and I contacted the seller today to arrange to have a look and he said it's just been sold. Heading to the North Island apparently. I wish the buying well, but prey it's not about to have some Toyota engine put in and end up on a drift track.

I think if someone had the garage space spare and wanted a slow project this not not be such a hard one.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=938508691 Had a look at this yesterday It's a good project for someone (not me unfortunately) and is worth saving, although the guy reckons he wont be wrecking it. Needs re-vinning, a respray and most likely some rust / body work. Interior need some work too. Mechanical unknown although a cooling (?) issue by the sounds of it. I'm not sure if the price is realistic, but reading between the lines I think he's open to negotiation, especially if you're better at haggling than me!

Any thoughts on the price? Is it about right?
-
I know I've been watching it a while. I like that it's lhd and it looks pretty original and clean.
-
What are people's thoughts on this? Is the price about right and has anyone here had a look or know anyone who has. I'm curious about it... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=919790361

If he turned 10k euro down, it will be out of my league. Would be a pity to break it up. Pretty unique car. Plenty of other engines one can put in an E28 surely?
-
I'd swim Cook Strait for a 745i Brent! Christian, that sounds interesting. How can I find out more?
-
Not only Christchurch., but I guess it would have to be a bit special to bring one cross the Strait. But, open to all possibilities. Cheers
-
Just putting some feelers out there. Might be in the market for a E23 in the near future. Prefer manual but probably a bit like hens teeth... Located in Christchurch. Cheers
-
I really would love another E28 - I think a 535 as a second car might cause some domestic issues though!
-
Thanks Brent but the cost of getting a car back to Christchurch is a bit high. Cheers
-
Hi folks I'm in the market for a cheap second car and I'd really like a BMW again. I miss my old 525ee. I've got around $2000 to spend. I'm hoping to find something like a 316/18/20i or 518/20i. 4 door 3 series. I would prefer a manual. Is this realistic? I want something in good condition although I don't mind some tidying up as long as it's not a POS. I'm in Christchurch so local preferred. I'am open to suggestion for other makes and models too. Cheers

Hi folks Hoping I haven't upset anyone and posted in the wrong place and it's not for a Beemer - sold that when I had to give up on life and get a people mover! Anyway, has anybody had any urethane engine mounts custom made? I'm running out of options for my car (other than factory ex Japan). Autolign will custom manufacture mounts for me in Auckland for about half the price of genuine ones. Anyone had any experience with them and particularly the Autolign ones? How have they lasted and how do they feel on a daily driver (Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis - no sports car). Any feedback appreciated and sorry for posting here, but as a former and future BMW owner I know how BMW's love bushes. So I'm figuring at least a few here will have gone down the Urethane road. All feedback appreciated. Cheers.
