3 of my old e34 535i's on tm in last 5months
bekker replied to BM WORLD's topic in TradeMe discussions
The second one is just up the road from me. It looks ok apart from the paint work. Never under cover though. -
Cheers for posting that. I love them all (except the E60, which I still kinda like).

Don't know if you've finished this or not, but when I put the towbar on my E28 I didn't have anywhere to mount a plug without drilling into the bumper or exterior body work. Instead I got some flat trailer cable (supercheap) and keep the plug nicely tucked away in the boot until needed, then it just hangs out the boot. Also means I can have more or less hanging out depending on the trailer. And it looks better too!

6.5" 500w speakers. Every speaker manufacturers dream. What is the RMS output? I'd love to see the math they used to come up with that figure. Sorry dude, if you bought them based on that, you've been had.

Unless you have a rotary synthetic is almost always best.

90w (or 75w-90, 80w-90). Make sure the car is level and fill until it starts to run out the top hole. About 0.9 to 1 litre probably. If you have an LSD you must used a LSD gear oil. Also make sure you undo the top fill hole first - if you undo the drain hole and then can't get the fill hole undone you are screwed.

I had some asymmetric Yokohamas in that size on my E28 and I loved them. Have Toyo's now, good but not as good. Toyo are excellent value for money though.

I second everything. 'Tis a great website with a bunch of great people. Thanks and merry christmas to everyone, especially those who have given their time and knowledge to help amateurs like me. Cheers.

I stubbled across this site this morning and it's nice. Some beautiful cars and great pictures. This guy really loves detailing cars and looks like he is good at it too! http://www.bmwclassics.co.uk/about/index.html Cheers and merry christmas everybody.

+1 The VRS is a lovely car. Get a TDi. Quick and economical and according to Top Gear much better build quality then VW. Merc? Although they don't seem to be great value for money. I had a Commodore a couple of years ago (2005 I think) and it was at the dealer more than every three months. Maybe they are better now, but if it was Japanese it never would have left the factory. Good luck.

Cool thanks. Yip it's on ramps. Thanks heaps guys. BTW, is that the first time Bentley has agreed with Haynes?
-
Hi guys, Hoping some one can answer this soon as I'm about to get under the car and check. What torque setting do you use for the Control (thrust) arm. Haynes says 130 nm. Anybody have a better recommendation? Cheers

I know the guy who owns this. It is beautiful and he is absolutely obsessive with it's care. I used to work with his with wife and always loved his car. If it were a touring I would have bought it!

Airdam maybe, the rest of the E28 mtech kit is ugly.

As an EE owner thats E28 porn! Absolutely beautiful. However, that price does seem a bit high. Mint as it is, it's still 200+ kms. Love those wheels on the E28 though.

My whole instrument cluster was going crazy recently, temp gauge swinging around etc. Turned out I'd partially unplugged the multipin plug on the back of the cluster when I was installing my bluetooth kit. Check all connections and groundings first before you start replacing the battery.

I like it, but can't say I love it... yet. I'll wait and see it in the flesh. However, it is an improvement over the previous model, although just about anything would be.

E46's don't normally do much for me, but that one does!

Is it on Trade me? Those things are rare and collectable. Some one must want it for parts. I love those early Jap micro cars.
-
+1I mean seriously, how can you walk away?

I want!
