martyyn 2 Report post Posted September 29, 2009 Huge earthquake in Samoa this morning and civil defence in NZ is warning of a tsunami on the east coast in around an hours time. Early indications are that it will be 1.5 metres high so hardly catastrophic but a warning none the less. How far up is your new house Simon

Guest Simon* Report post Posted September 29, 2009 Huge earthquake in Samoa this morning and civil defence in NZ is warning of a tsunami on the east coast in around an hours time. Early indications are that it will be 1.5 metres high so hardly catastrophic but a warning none the less. How far up is your new house Simon Siren went off about 8:30 this morning and I got "advised" to move inland to higher ground I can see the beach less than 100m away from upstairs and I'd say I'm roughly 1.5m above the high tide line. It seemed prudent. So I took shelter in a cafe and chucked coffees down my neck until I got bored and full and went home. What a disappointment
