Mark 178 Report post Posted May 22, 2010 The internet's most controversial BMW enthusiast Mike Burroughs has just finished the S54 swap into his E36 coupe. Skip past the wank at the front end of the video to hear the S54 with individual throttle body stacks running at full throttle. It's like a sleeper M3-GTR racecar! Link below. Mike Burroughs - S54 swapped E36 I want one.

Driftit 2078 Report post Posted May 22, 2010 (edited) Well I am not one of those guys that has my tongue stuck up Mike Barrows ass. (not saying any of you are but so many do on other forums) So I will say. Car looks yawn boring. Engine looks and sounds great. Wheels are awesome but the tyre stretch is shithouse making it look like some filthy drifter who can't afford good rubber. I know it is their style to go low. But to me that looks shoddy Otara Low. 5/10 from me. Only rating it since thats obviously what he wants. To see who loves and who hates. allan 295 Report post Posted May 22, 2010 After watching the video and reading your comments for me personnel no thank you have to agree with drift it and some of his comments. Don't get me wrong the work gone into the car was huge but in certain areas it just does not work for me, individual taste. To low. The mags do nothing for me. The way the tyres have been fitted make it look cheap and nasty. Would like to know how hard the ride is with the present suspension set up On a more positive note the motor sounds very nice and by the rubber left on the road it can get off its rear and dance. Cheers
JFry 1 Report post Posted May 22, 2010 Only good thing about that car is the engine, almost makes up for the rest of it...
JiB 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2010 I like it. Not sure about the compromises taken just to fit the wheels though. Would be even more impressed if they raised all the suspension pickups instead of chopping off the struts. That car with M Contours + factory camber and max castor would be choice. hybrid 1043 Report post Posted May 23, 2010 Hmm I know Americans are generally like this. But why is when I read yank threads they are all about "I told you so, and this is for the haters" Why can't they get over it and realise that they have done something cool and thats all that needs to be said about it. One thing I've learnt from my time on us forums is that 99% of US modders are off the shelf modders and most of them wouldnt have fabrication bone in their bodies. So as soon as one of these projects gets finished its the best thing in the 'world' (america) and the first thing to be done in the 'world' its fanfare city. You don't see projects in Sweden or Norway with all the emotion.
