$toffz 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 Had a chat last night about old guilty pleasures. Got me thinking about cars and the ones i used to drool over but now wonder what the hell i was thinking. When I first go to NZ i thought the Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo was just pure awesome. What did you used to drool over but now think not a chance?
kingkarl 136 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 When I was 14 I had a thing for e class mercs and e30s with massive chromes. Embarrassing phase that was. When the 458 italia was first released I loved it, now I'm not such a fan and far prefer the f430. When I was super young I used to like the 90s wagon subaru imprezas. One of my most hated cars now. I used to hate the e60 but like many others now adore it.

Same on the e60, now I think it looks great, especially the M5 or a tastefully done 545 or
nath 134 Report post Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) As a kid i planned on owning a 1990 ish to 1994 ish legacy sedan. Didnt know what turbo etc was but loved the shape. Still not a bad car if not thrashed I guess. I also loved my mates mums bright red mazda limited 2 door rotary. But I suppose it too isnt a bad car either. I guess I dont have regrets, i've always had good taste in cars Edited February 3, 2011 by nath

Michael. 2313 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) Toyota Soarers. Oh god..... I had 5 of the stupid things. A sports car that was not sporty at all - Heavy, soft and especially impractical. Though I still do like my Celsior/Aristo (LS400/GS300) barges, smooth and unsporty, like a luxo barge should be. . Still kinda cool I know where there are 2 XT6s (6 cyl' versions) sitting in a paddock, not far from where The Last Samurai was filmed.

Silver Fox 43 Report post Posted February 4, 2011 Either, but prefer the Mk 1's, and I was quite a bit younger than Dan when they first came on the scene.
