Lucan 196 Report post Posted February 20, 2014 For that money I'd rather an E36 M3 They're not doing themselves any favours with that advert, 1 pic of half the car, 2 line description. aja540i 1906 Report post Posted February 20, 2014 I'm a big fan of buying cars thar are "different", but there are a lot of things i would do with 18k before i bought that, for example, i got an email from this Nigerian prince....

E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted February 20, 2014 Very nice cars.... when they work right. Availability of spares for that would give me nightmares!! The one in the photos above is the turbo with the wide body, shame the one in the add is NA and not widebody, but then it wouldn't be 18k. But really, carbs in 1990?? Come on. FRT 144 Report post Posted February 20, 2014 Its only like 160 hp NA, 8 seconds to 100k so not anywhere in the league of an e36 m3 more like a 325i at best. They were cool in their time, based from the 1981 Renault Fuego (barf). My mate had a Fuego Turbo! A real space ship in its day i tell you, good fodder for my 1984 Cordia 1.6 carberated Turbo. Almost as cool as my uncles Isusu Piazza.
Allanw 1071 Report post Posted February 20, 2014 Looks like a lovechild of a Porsche 944/Nissan 300zx/Sierra Cosworth You forgot RX-7 and AMC Gremlin. I quite like them though - awesome 80's throwback.
aja540i 1906 Report post Posted February 20, 2014 Yeah, different strokes for different folks and all that, but that's focus xr5 turbo money and i know which one i'd rather own!! Just saying, for the money, you could do better!

E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) I think the styling was by the same looney-tune that did the Fuego, but the concept and the model was based on the old-school Alpine 110 which was a gorgeous car.. Palazzo 474 Report post Posted February 21, 2014 My uncle has a low k, nz new one. Not surprised they ditched the original carbs which are apparently a bitch to maintain/tune/keep balanced. His has been converted to FI, runs much better and is immaculate.
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted February 21, 2014 Looks like a lovechild of a Porsche 944/Nissan 300zx/Sierra Cosworth Wow can see exactly what you mean! (and you can have my dads twinturbo 300ZX for half the price, and more than twice the power and servicability)
