Boowhup 26 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 he'll probably tell trade me you pulled out to get his $ back. And this is where you say "Nope! , keen to buy at $3220" , and he doesn't get a refund (had it happen to me, guy wouldn't make contact, until I requested refund, luckily he went through with the trade after that). then when he re-lists, you win again for $3200, rinse repeat, all above board. And in the meantime we can all ask stupid questions on his auctions...
deeveus 81 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) Its trademe so probably around $3219 Sent from my GT-I8160L using Tapatalk 2 True this. I spend over $200 a month on fees. Well, an update, I complained to ShitMe and I get a text this morning asking me when I want to come and collect. I replied saying, yes I'll book more tickets but at the sale price of $3220. I swear this car better be worth it. I'm worried that the vendor has gone septic and will sabotage the car or something.. Its not that much relative to the price of the car, but I imagine you could push back and ask for the original price - your missed flight ticket price if you wanted to Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Im surprised you got a result out of the TradeMe staff. I have endless battles with them, and I'm spending at least 1k a month with them. they know how to charge, i guess thats no competition for you. But i shouldnt complain, im not game to try Wheedle or whatever the f**k, seriously who uses anything other than TradeMe.
allan 295 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) Maybe just maybe if enough dis-satisfied clients of trademe started using other service providers like them and the share holders dividend took a dive them they might just might get the message. Or is that a pipe dream?. Hope at the end of this sage Clinton gets an out come which is palatable. Edited April 2, 2014 by tim

Or is that a pipe dream? you arent wrong. But meanwhile i have two businesses to support, and TradeMe is where the customers are. Lost sales by listing exclusively on Wheedle etc are a LOT more than the cost of TradeMe fees... and TradeMe know it Edited April 2, 2014 by _Ethrty-Andy_
allan 295 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Sure don't cut of your nose to spit your face it takes time for change to occur along with people using their feet and other options. By all means keep using trademe but also us the other providers as well and help them grow along with a warning on your trade me auctions that the item is advertised else were. Allanw 1071 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Trademe sucks arse. Bidbud.co.nz is where it's at - it IS trademe, but it actually does stuff how you want it to be done (continuous pages, shows a photo in searches even when gallery isn't paid for etc), plus its WAY better for bidding (just don't tell anyone about it ) Bidbud charges nothing (yet anyway) but trademe still makes their money. This guy just does it better!
deeveus 81 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) We'll we're on again. I have a date with the owner tomorrow morning when I get off my kite in Christchurch at 8:30am There's a 15km drive back to their place apparently so if the car isn't doing what it's supposed to I guess I can just jump out at speed and spend the 3k on plastic surgery. There's a few cars for sale I'd like to look at in Christchurch if this sale falls through so not all will be lost hopefully. I just don't know why the vendor had to go through this process, it was really UN-necessary. I'll probably end up coming back with a M50d X5 and spend a few weeks on the couch after the wife sees it coming down the driveway tomorrow night. I guess we all secretly hate trademe, especially if you sell on there often. But it has it's good points & has a hell of a lot to answer for especially when you look through my garage! I've lost count of the times where I get asked "WTF do you need that for??" Edited April 2, 2014 by The Diesel Guy

deeveus 81 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 So I've got it here. Couple issues, but only minor. One that's annoying is that the keyfob isn't paired to the car. The remote looks new and is the older infa red (have to point at the rear view mirror job) whereas my NZ New 320d which is older has the newer 3 button diamond shape key.. I've looked about but nothing seems to work, what is the easiest way to pair this bloody key to the car?
euroriffic 609 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 I thought you just put the key in, turn to on then off, open door three times, open boot, do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight, hold unlock button and it works? Or something like that. Failing that, the stealer or mclouds. The e46 went there to get the rape locks and bits all turned off

I'm thinking it's got the wrong key fob to be honest. Dunno why it would be the older type on a newer car?
