The car pulling out probably didn't see it due to the Lambo being in stealth mode...

I would think that owning one of these in London or any large densely populated city would be a nightmare.

So the concerned bystander runs to the RH side of the car, and helps out the blonde. Then looks back inside and thinks LHD??

Then the gomer in the baseball cap ( reversed of course...) gets out and seems more concerned about the car than the blonde, who seems in the mood to bugger off straight away. I`d say Gomer was taking dad`s car for a spin....?

I had to watch it twice over to realise we were 'not' in NZ :D

I thought the blonde was driving and went all 'Hell no, not in my country'... 5 minutes later "Ahh....."

Must be Daddy's car. What person under 25 would ever be able to afford that with their own personal pocket cash that wasn't lotto or inheritance...

Exactly. And she had just slipped his roll of pound notes into her handbag, and said` Ok honey...you`re on..` which is why the car suddenly became airborne...

New Zealander's are always so quick to jump to the "it's Daddy's car conclusion". I wouldn't be surprised if it was his by any stretch of the imagination. Just because people are young doesn't mean they don't/can't have money.

Funny how none of the reports I've seen make any mention of the Mazda pulling out on the Lambo. It's all been about the potential top speed of the supercar. "The moment a £300k Lamborghini Aventador crashed and became airborne, the 217mph supercar became airborne as flew round a bend, clipping a Mazda" - which had pulled out in front of the oncoming car.

That said, the Lambo does appear to have been moving far too fast - Knightsbridge has a pretty much blanket 30mph (maximum, as many parts are 20mph) speed limit; that bit is 30mph. Show off time gone wrong, no doubt, although other reports suggest the driver had been tearing around the area for some time.

True point - I know a very small handful of young people that are well up there in the money, but they are intelligent and invest it in items such as houses, so I guess it depends where you spend it really!

I disagree with you completely TJ. Ever heard the expression `drive it like you stole it`. And the concern for his passenger is the giveaway. He`s thinking when he goes back to look at the car `My Saudi Arabian dad is going to cut my hands off ( or worse) for this. And I just lost 100 quid as well...should have gone to Polytech this morning...`

Not looking to get into an argument but I think if you crashed a $600K+ car you'd look at it the same way. I would. The girl is probably just the flavour of the week. I wouldn't look into that too much.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has a nice house too :)

Just trying to lighten the mood TJ. And if he is used to driving like that around Knightsbridge then I am sure the insurance premiums are a doddle for him..I just wouldn`t want to be putting my rubbish in a bin outside a kebab shop when he comes around the corner that`s all..

No problemo, it just gets to me when people assume that because it's a nice car somebody else had to have paid for it. Here's something to lighten the mood.. Looks like the same Lamborghini

EDIT:

Brake calipers are different but that's easy enough to have changed.

Aw mate that`s bloody funny. Charted accountant in full Licra gear on a bike. Love the way he looks back at the Lambo. Bet he had `Peugot racing team` on the front of his vest. ( are they called vests ??)

You haven't lived in the UK, eh, Tristan? Insurance is compulsory and no matter how much money you've got you won't find an insurer that will cover an under 25 on a $600K Lambo! Might be his/her car but it will be on mummy and daddy's insurance policy!!

Another knob behind the wheel. Clearly going too fast for such a street where Mazda 3 drivers are likely to pull out on ya!

Those bloody New Zealanders! Shakes fist at clouds.

However, sheer weight of numbers suggest that Aventadors are, generally speaking, not owned by yoofs. To suggest that said car was owned by said yoofs' parents isn't such a stretch.

Generalisations are often based on an element of troof.

The wealth distribution in the UK is very different to NZ, especially London and the more exclusive areas of that city.

There are lots of young (even under 25) Arab and Asian kids running family businesses and got-rich-quick Euros from the City. Even after the GFC things bounce back pretty quick.

In my day they were nick-named "The flaming Lambourghinis" all early 20s all with various Supercars. Very Wolf On Wall Street!

There are lots of specialist insurers that will cover anything - provided you pay enough in premiums. The big companies cherry pick all the safe customers and exclude the rest.
