Jacko 2241 Report post Posted June 26 On facebook, looks pretty solid just needs some love and odd spec with boston lemon interior. Auto LCI, BMWP 313s, Arqay symetrical thrust exhaust and PS5s.... sounds like she wants less than 4k.

Driftit 2203 Report post Posted Monday at 12:51 AM Has anyone been happy with just replacing the old factory Sachs shocks with new factory Sachs shocks? My commuters are old and harsh. https://spareto.com/products/sachs-shock-absorber/317-566 or https://spareto.com/products/bilstein-shock-absorber/22-144256 I don't really want to go to an expensive kit for this car. Just a refresh that doesn't flop from side to side over the Remutaka and can handle driving through the beautiful roads of Carterton..
dln 19 Report post Posted Monday at 06:49 AM (edited) Recently put the Bilstein B4's all round on a 135i and can recommend. Primarily driven on shitty roads, so didn't really want anything stiffer. They are a million times better than the shagged old Sachs, but that was how it came, so I don't have a like for like comparison. Web wisdom claims the Bilstein B4's are "10% stiffer than stock". I'm very happy with them. Edit: ended up getting them from FCP as Spareto took my order then a week later said they couldn't supply them, last December. (Well, they could do 3, but not front right ... which wasn't much good to me!). Edited Monday at 06:55 AM by dln
NZ_InFerno 396 Report post Posted Monday at 08:55 AM B4s also the closest equivalent to the M-Sport shocks
M3AN 4113 Report post Posted Monday at 09:34 AM You'll also want BMW Performance bumpstops and boots, not standard "motorsport" ones. The BMWP ones are shorter, less crashy, and ultimately safer over their life. Similar/same price as regular ones.
mmario 64 Report post Posted Monday at 07:57 PM I am about to embark on this as well, going with B4s. @M3AN , do you have a part number or link for the M performance bump stops my search skills are failing me

We could look at combining orders to save on shipping. I am guessing each order would be over the $1K GST threshold anyway. I want to buy them asap. Danch 42 Report post Posted Monday at 09:11 PM Where are you ordering them from? Keen to know the list of part numbers if you don't mind sharing. I'd be looking at ordering a set at some point. How much are you paying in total?

I have a set of b4s on my car currently that will coming off as I'm doing an M3 rear end swap. They only have 10kms and where installed November last year. I wasn't planning on taking them off for another 2 months but I could take them off now as the car isn't being driven due to the current weather as it's on semi slicks. Let me know if you would be interested, they have the shorter Z8 front bumpstops and the now NLA BMW performance e90 euro rears, would include the new top mounts and the springs to save you having to swap your front springs on. Picture from November last year just before I installed them for reference, note the rear bumpstops in that picture aren't the BMWP ones as they didn't turn up until December. Lots of oil leaks and the usual stuff, along with a bunch of electrical gremlins (most are likely result of few flat batteries), but its worth saving and probably robbing some parts off.
Neil McCauley 451 Report post Posted 22 hours ago Great score! Definitely some nice fruit to peel off that - have always wondered if the 18" 313's would clear the BMWP 6 pistons as well.

Hutty008 6 Report post Posted 17 hours ago Since my shocks are coming off, my current brakes will be up for sale. They are e9x 335i fronts 348x30 and rears 336x24 ( Yes the rears just bolt up ) with DBA slotted rotors, EBC redstuff pads and condor speed shop brass caliper bushings. The pads where new 3000-4000 kms and the rotors were resurfaced at the same time. Only selling as I'm switching to m2 brakes as I got a good deal on a set and after test fitting they luckily fit under wheels. Photos from the 5th of March when I replaced the pads and resurfaced the rotors.

What wheels are you running that will clear m2 brakes, are you going to be running the 380f/370r discs or the smaller 340 Msport ones? i run f80 brakes (same as m2) and found the 380/370 f/r Discs only really fit under my apex ec-7s

I will be running 370f/345r rotors as the F series M performance set up. I have the 380f/370r rotors which came with the calipers but these no way to mount the 370mm rears to the 130i rear hubs and I'm not converting to e82 hubs as my OZ wheels already have a very aggressive offset.
