Sammo 2550 Report post Posted July 29, 2020 Looks lovely - can't remember the last time I saw one of these (non M) in manual on Trade Me. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2720329119?bof=yT6rkPHM Not as sure about the E39 wheels on it and why these NZ E24s are always in grandad colours though... Contrails 317 Report post Posted July 30, 2020 The M5 wheels are just plain wrong. That colour is a bit elderly so to speak but with the right wheels and kit, you could really set it off.
E30 325i Rag-Top 2963 Report post Posted July 30, 2020 Agree about the wheels, possibly it needs a bit more low to pull off that size of wheel? Certainly a lot of potential in this car, interior is a retro heaven, and looks to be in fantastic overall condition. Without too much effort and money it could be a real cracker. 1
Jacko 2158 Report post Posted July 30, 2020 That is slick, I think the wheels work!
Eagle 1679 Report post Posted July 30, 2020 +1 more lowering to pull off those wheels. E12 based suspension is just too old to worth the hassle though.

It's an E12 based Karmann, you'll be able to watch it rust before your very eyes, as distinct from the BMW built E28's which hid their rust secrets from you. ssbmw 223 Report post Posted July 30, 2020 (edited) I absolutely love the original recaro seats. So rare. A mate of mine had the same recaro seats in one of the early right hand drive M635si's (1985). He was adamant that they were an option. Is this a colour factory for a 79 E24? It almost seems like a E9 colour - Fjord blau. Edited July 30, 2020 by ssbmw

Jacko 2158 Report post Posted August 1, 2020 (edited) Whats one of these actually worth now? I need one to match my 1980s pre stock market crash executive house... Maybe I have no taste, but that colour and those wheels look awesome to me Edited August 1, 2020 by Jacko
