Meh, quick test fit with subframe out. Its a snug fit without being tight anywhere. Probably 15mm the closest to anything, so decent heat dissipation. I'm not expecting much lag. I'm planning to push the refreshed stock block and see where we get to. I'm thinking around abouts like this one, which has the same sized hairdrier; The turbo size aint too far different from my little 2 litre 4 banger in my Mk 1 Celica...

Parts are coming off this weekend. Parts still available listed below. Parts: M30B35 Engine - 180,000kms, complete with loom, ECU, AFM, manifold and all accessories etc. No AC. Will supply with E28 engine mounts and adapters if you are looking at putting it into an E28. No guarantees on if it will pass cert, but I had no issues for the past two years in my car. $1200 or make an offer. Full E28 exhaust will be included for extra $200. Remotec 16x8 et20 Wheels - Very good condition, no curbing at all. No center caps, had redrill to other bolt pattern as well which I never bothered to measure. The 5x120 is the factory drilling. I recently refinished these with mirror polished lips and painted centers. All four have tyres but tyres are nearing their end, 2x Achillies ATR Sport and 2x Goodyears. 225/50R16s all round. These wheels are pretty hard to find, and go for heaps in Europe. - $1000 or make an offer. Coilover Suspension - Stock shocks with coilover sleeves and springs. 10kg springs front, 8ks rears. 6" all round. Have helpers to go with them as well which I am not currently using. Shocks probably blown. No guarantees for cert on these but will make a good base. - $400 Mtech Seats/Interior Blue Vinyl - Overall very good condition. Driver's seat has splits in vinyl on driver side bolster and base, rest of the it looks great, foam is still good. All other seats look like new. Will include door cards and charcoal carpets if buyer wants. - $1000 or make an offer. Can include rest of interior upon negotiation, all factory black parts. M5 replica front lip - Fibreglass, no cracks or damage, fits pretty good for a replica. $200 Mtech replica rear spoiler - Fiberglass, has studs for mounting. Paint is ok, could be redone for perfect finish. - $200 or make an offer. Heater box, non AC - Foam flaps all redone and heater core replaced about two years ago. Brake set up for sale out of my E36 racecar. Selling due to upgrade. Have only done two Playday Track days, and road use before that. All parts passed a WOF less than 1000k ago. Front and rear brake calipers and rotors. Both pairs of discs are not very old, calipers include half worn EBC yellowstuff brake pads (good high performance road/entry track day pad). Rear calipers have been upgraded to the facelift 323/328 type which are vented - a good upgrade on the standard 325 solid rear disc set up. $100 I am based in Wellington, but can drop at Mainfreight if arranged. I am also at Hampton Downs this next weekend (13/14 Jan) so could bring them up if necessary. Thanks, Nathan

After a minor mishap with the long block, I have bought a wrecked 335i wagon with low kms, swapped the long block over. Also sold the rest of the 335i to Brent @ BMWorld. Good b'stard took the engine out for me too. Did the rest in the driveway. Managed to tear my MCL in the right knee getting the engine off the trailer and onto the crane. This stopped car play for 3+ months. No pain no gain huh. Strong but not strong enough = groan. But the engine is super clean, zero oil leaks from anywhere. Swapped all my bits over to the fresh long block. Whats to blame for the engine re-fresh? New injector locating tab falling into chamber causing a bent valve and hence no compression. Stink bro! According to many a friend they would have given up here. Shown here is a stock one and they munted culprit. Engine didn't even do many cycles before damage occurred. Sold the RB Turbos to Mike to turn his 335i into a drag car. Stage 2 pump gone, 3" downpipes to a Natalie down Chch way. I've changed the clutch to a Spec Stage 3+, solid centre single plate. See how it runs without springs/damper. Might be ok. Add M Factory light flywheel too. No longer a dual mass thing. Factory DMFW is a really heavy thing. Its taken since July 2017 to get this manifold made up, fitted correctly, flanges CNC'd and test fitted in Australia with the Garrett GTW 66mm (6664 in Precision speak). Hell of a Xmas present though. Whether this be the manifold or possibly the best successful test of my patience. I'll be taking the ex housing and manifold to HPC to get their extreme coating applied this week before it gets final fitment into the bay. Pardon the delay, but I will soldier on. Should have the manifold bolted up next week once its back from HPC. A few lines to get made up, bought and in stalled the block blanking plugs for the dual oil and water feeds to the stock twin turbos. Now to be single feed to this beast. Stock TD03 standing adjacent. Biggest difference is the turbine diameter, sheesh! Also managed to fault find some blown MOSFETS in the DME/ECU and swap them out to tougher versions. Engine was misfiring at times, thought it was the 2step munting the O2 sensors, but ended up being ECU related. Can share fix details if anyone interested. Its a cheap and easy fix, with a soldering iron and a steady hand.....

Totally love Dakar Yellow! Seen this a few times on the Welly motorways and at first glance it looks like an E36 M3 Saloon lol. This will be so cool as a 'run around'

Flushed the coolant on the Mercedes 190E... Then found I have a electrical 'leak' somewhere as the otherwise brand new Bosch battery was as flat as a very flat thing. No idea at the moment if a light was left on, or if it is a bad earth somewhere. Let this be a lesson to everyone. Use your cars - don't leave them int he garage getting dusty!
