@M3AN was gonna put another post up about spotting yet another E3 on a trailer behind a Landcruiser..... and how it was the same Landcruiser lol. But thought I'd just show you a couple of pics for now, picked the good one up tonight. Pics taken on my phone in the dark, so will post better ones in the daylight when I can. Oh and before anyone says anything, that tie-down over the front is just to hold the bonnet shut, don't freak and think I towed the car with just that on it ???

And you convinced me to buy two... How about we compromise and just call us 'morons with taste'...

I disagree. Well, I will grant that use of the term moron is somewhat offensive! All sorts of exemplars of sub-species of humanity are gravitating towards e46 also. In the Venn diagram of e46 (or e36) ownership the e46 (or e36) is not fully enveloped by any one - or all - sub-species of human ownership. Thus, loving an e46 (or e36) does not lump one in amongst all other appreciators of these fine vehicles. Eg just because I run an e46, does not mean I am a drift shredder. A Venn diagram, this morning.

yeah i can only find ones on how to reset each light like oil, brakes, fluid, a/c etc not actually get rid of that light or is that light from one of those items not being reset?

You don't know pay for the labour, you pay for the knowledge and the investment in the software to be able to carry out the programming. What needs programming? Genuine keys come coded ready to go unless the vehicle has comfort access

It is nice but I dont think it's a very sharp price for what appears to be an above average condition, above average km manual 540. It's a shame they're so rare here, a well appointed facelift msport one would be a real nice car

Yeah i know it needs lowering. Ive got ACS springs and Sachs sports sitting waiting but little motivation to do so and i like having ground clearance and suspension travel.

It's firkin awesome. I was a little restrained given I'm a) carefully running in the engine, and b) it's over 100HP more than i've ever owned before, but even early on you can tell it's a beast. Comfy too.

And are you fizzing and buzzing from those 200kms, after your months of anticipation?
  12. 1 point
Took the day off from work yesterday, picked it up, put 200km on it, dropped it off late afternoon.

Good thing you drive an M5 so it doesn't happen often......?

Aaaaaaand... it’s finally here! Now I have to do without it for another couple days while it gets ceramic treated ? Interestingly, I was convinced it was coming with run-flats - all the marketing guff mentioned RF’s and the sales guy reckoned they fitted Pirelli P-Zeros. But the actual car arrived with Michelin Pilot Super Sport’s. I’m not complaining. ?‍♂️

Unfortunately it is well known that if you don't do preventative maintenance on the S85 it will destroy the rod bearings, waiting until they NEED doing means you are up for a new crank as well!! I did mine at 150k and they were truly on their last legs.but for me it was money well spent for peace of mind and potential resale value if I ever sell it, which I won't, because M5 touring!! ?
