Hi, I'm the owner and manager of ECC I run all these 'events' and meets. And rest assured we do get a mix of cars - not only sacked out Mercs. We had 2x Mint E30 M3s, E36 M3s, E46 M3s, a few E90/92 M3s and the of course the M5s as well as M Coupes, Panteras, RS6s, Porsche, GTIs... Most of the above cars stock. We have a huge mix of people. The next meet is in Albany and with over $1500 worth in prices to give away, no harm in tagging along. If it's as sh*t as some may presume, always optioned to leave But I keep things in order and wouldn't be able to pull my 130+ car meets without having rules in place for the idiots.

Something for the weekend...

Alan Ferguson has put a whole lot of his time and own money into getting a Bimmerfest event off the ground. The first one is next weekend to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 8 series but is open to everyone with a twilight track session at HD (for only $75!!) and a cruise and lunch on the Sunday. I've been chatting to him about it and helping where I can but I think it would make good sense to support him and build on what he's started rather than setting up a competing event. With a proper structure we'd also be able to avoid clashes with things like the race series!

Come on everyone, let's get behind this. Sure, it's a shame that timing clashes with the race series but the organisers had to take what was available. The BMW Club haven't put a lot of effort in to it so it's been left to a couple of people to try and put it together and it would be a massive shame if it doesn't thrive and get another chance next year when the wrinkles can be ironed out. Anyways, I'm booked and paid and looking forward to seeing a few 8s celebrating 25 years plus everything and anything that people care to bring along for a bit of fun.

Haven't had the chance to take some proper photos and over-edit them in a while, especially since the crash, so decided to snap a few yesterday afternoon.

Mtech 1 & 2 E30's annoy E36 M3 owners. Because they are in the same price bracket. But not in the same performance bracket.

Looking awesome, how I envisaged I'd have had it one day... Like Kyu said... Wheels. Or dip the current ones! Only other thing is I would paint or dip the chrome rings gunmetal. Great though! (Y)

im really liking the new front bumper. looks awesome. next on the list might be some wheels. there were 2 sets of m pars on trademe a few weeks back around $800-1k not a bad deal and would look awesome

That looks nice a good balance of black and white and hope you are happy now shes all back together with summer just around the corner. This is my personal feelings the lower grill a "T" bar instead of the chrome rings not sure on the wheels. But enjoy her they are a nice car to go cruising in.

I checked out some of those Facebook groups, they are full of drongos.

Well I orginally had Hawk HP+ with OEM rears. But then I realised I will only be doing 1/2 track days a year so why put a pad on which is designed for more track use on when I won't need it. So went back to Hawk HPS as have spoken to Ray, as well as Mike who is the research guru on parts and both suggested HPS. So went with them as seem like the most suitable for my plans

I'll be there in a supporting cast of sorts. I'll bring the long lens too haha maybe get some good shots.

Unless my new shocks and universal joint turn up in time I'll be taking it pretty cautiously anyway! Just be fun to get it out there with the other 8s.

I can't afford the entry for the track fee (and my old hack is way too feeble) but I'll be watching intently as you lot have fun going around Fingers crossed it get enough turnout to make it an annual event!
