Thanks Will, will get in contact with him. In other news, it left the garage for the first time in a while today. Seems so far to be fine. Still a bit to do before a proper drive but it made it to the letter box and back yay. Bit of a different look too.

I think it's great. I love how wraps are completely removable, and protect the original paint. Because they're printed, you're only limited by your imagination in the design - why not go for something polarising that people will remember, especially on such an exotic car.

Complete off-topic, but I for one enjoy reading Ron's posts and hope he'll keep posting despite not being appreciated by everyone...

Are those speshul stripey wiper blades? Where is your air filter? Or is it disguised as a water bottle? They do, don't they!

All the rego numbers in the series "BMW???" we're taken by BMW NZ when they were released by NZTA a few years back. These were allocated through the dealers onto cars and have all been used up long ago. Some pop up on TradeMe now and again. Euro sized plates, with the BMW logo on!as per the 6er in the photo, for other rego numbers are still available through dealers.

Mine is very much made to fit, rather squeezed in! Took quite a while to get it, the A/C bits, the bonnet stay/strut, and the headlights to live in harmony in the same hole.. cut/shortened the outlet pipe to to the afm and trimmed the underside and also 'massaged' the body under it to get the inlet to clear the high beam. IIRC the washer bottle is from an e34 with headlight wash? I just removed the headlight bottle. It fits perfectly in the gap between the air filter and the impact sensor for the airbags. Pics might help you get some ideas

Picked up the new wagon and proceeded to give it a 400km drive over and around the Coromadel as it's first test. 50% windy switchback roads & 50% gravel that must have been used for a rally stage at some point. BMW X5 xdrive30d performance pack What a car. Aglie, surprisingly quick. 400km cost me $40 (half a tank). Panoramic sunroof. So comfortable I even slept in the back. Now it's all dirty.

So, there was a couple of loose ends with the wiring to tidy up, namely the tach and the coolant gauge. Didn't really know how I was going to tackle them but I thought I'd shove the CAN up it and whattayaknow? Tach now works and looks as though the coolant does too, although I wont really know for sure till I heat her up. Which I can now do with one of the those coolant tanks Will was on about. So I'm wondering if I should try and pressurise it or let it overflow as an E30 would?? I also did this Been a busy weekend.

And thats that, car is no longer forsale. I foolishly tried giving it away, and although i had a bit of interest no one fronted with the cash. It wont be forsale this cheap again, glad it didnt sell as i would have regretted it too much. Now, to start writing up a plan of things to do.
