Hi folks, my name is Dale, and my wife fell in love with a 98? 525i about 3 years ago, which we bought, and I get to drive once in a blue moon. My work "hack" is last years Ranger, which I hate passionately, with its laggy unresponsive auto trans, but the Beemer makes all those woes go away when I actually get to drive it. We live in Sunny Nelson, and love the place. Nice to meet ytou all (eventually)

I need to get my one back out of the garage again. It's only done 300kms since its last warrant and it's for it's next in a coupe of weeks.

Assuming the level is ok is a bit naive, these boxes are quite sensitive to oil level, needs to be bang on, i wouldn't rely on the fact that it was done a little while back . Also, do these boxes have an oil cooler? blocked oil coolers are a common issue with the v8 boxes, has yours been cleaned?(if it has one)

Cars been found, trailer still missing. Seems the car was dropped on a back road in Takanini. It must have been too obvious I guess. Was left outside the friend of a guy who I know on Fbook, so we got informed before the cops even knew. We have cctv of the theives leaving Steve's place with the car in tow and know who the car belongs to and where they live, cops have been informed. Would like to thank all involved very much, we are due to be at the opening meet next weekend, so here's hoping it is all ok.

Nothing wrong with the system if it's serviced and adjusted correctly using the proper tools and correct parts within the tolerance guidelines

economy is relative.I am ussually quite economical driver, but my average consumption in the 535 was prolly 21 mpg(13 l 100 k) .On the open road it was almost impossible to get less than 10 l 100k.My bloody automatic pajero is more economical than that. The only thing that saved the car was it had a decent sized tank so you could go a long way between fills and was such a nice drive.
