Hey so small update, I finshed exhaust and put it back on the car and to my surprise it sounds almost exactly the same with maybe the slightest more volume. I'm kinda happy with the result because the muffler is now considerably lighter and doesnt sound bad or drone. Installed an AFE magnum power intake tube which then popped off and split the silicone joiner. A replacement is on the way and it will be reinstalled. Also changed the rear trailing arm bushes as the rear end felt a bit sloppy and after further inspection the bushes were beyond destroyed. I replaced them with RUFF branded bushes from Speedfactor (nice guys to deal with) normally I would use oem rubber but these were recommended to me and I like the idea of the built-in limiters that would otherwise be an additional cost. Also I was lucky enough to have an exceptional photographer take photos of my car, thanks to Daniel Kim (Corsbe Photography). I'll attach a couple but if you're interested in checking out more awesome photos of lots of other cool cars, check out his Facebook page.

Glorious carbon fiber has arrived I'm so glad I chose to save a bit longer so I could afford matching front & rear armrests. This'll complete my interior conversion to cf. 20160317_182233_HDR by Christian Taylor, on Flickr The car is currently in many bits in our showroom. I hope to get an hour or two over the next few days to start fitting it up. I've taken the opportunity to strip the leather coating from the seats & plastic coating from the panels and give them both a deep clean. 20160317_171139_HDR by Christian Taylor, on Flickr

Most often the case when you not looking, manual cars start popping up all over the place. When you are on the hunt for one not much out there... I'm sure this is the case with Martins' M5, bargain price now but everyone that was in the market for this sort of car at the time, have probably moved on to something else most likely 335i sedan's which seemed to be the default choice considering what you get for the money and now are like WTF M5 for this money...

So I finally took the fiancee's daily driver into see Christian & team at OCD this week, given it's about to be used for a wedding car. I can't recommend them highly enough - top operators who know exactly what they're doing. If you're like me and have been thinking about using them for some time, see the images below to encourage you to book in! Christian (CSET) made it an incredibly easy task. Check them out at ocdetailing.co.nz Thanks guys.

Yes. Imagine if you got it all back together and the following week... About $100 worth, at a guess?

Oh and you have the N55 so get the Performance Power Kit. Even with the stock exhaust in enhances the sound nicely, adds more burbles and pops, sounds awesome. On some N55s it works without the activation code so no need to buy it from BMW, anyone who can do the Alpina flash can do it as the process is similar. BM Workshop Botany did it for me.

I went through this process and bought a 550i wagon a month or two back. There is a thread down the page somewhere. Yes the lci came in 2007, which has among other things the electric transmission shifter (meant to be very slight better for fuel use), led taillights and other cosmetic mods. Definetly get the motorsport version. The V8 I have found on open road to be pretty good on fuel maybe 12l/100 and round town obviously worse, wouldnt be much/ if any more than my old ba xr6 falcon. Any other questions fire away, I think its a great car for the money.

Yup i have the NZKW brackets and they fit well and you can then bolt your racetech brackets to them to mount the seats.

Starting pulling it apart today. Turns out it has Bilstein shocks and H&R springs. I'll be keeping the shocks but the springs are for sale.

I agree with most here, even if he was a recidivist offender the punishment doesn't match the crime. Judith "Crusher" Collins is a National shame (pun intended). I bet he was being a dick but far, far more serious crimes are dealt with far less severely and this is entirely disproportionate. On that basis alone this is neither justice nor justified. No analogies are required to work this one out.

Updates! I've ordered carbon fiber replacements for the interior door handles (front & rear). This is the last of the oem trim I have yet to replace with carbon fiber, so I'm pretty excited to see what it'll look like. Pics once the parts arrive & I fit them up. I also ordered a carbon fiber ashtray cover - can't find any pics online but it's this bit here: Ashtray by Christian Taylor, on Flickr
