Does anyone know where should be looking for a new or good condition intake boot .I'm after the piece the MAF sensor connects to then goes towards the engine. Hopefully I'm not too vague. Mines split. Cheers

So how extensive was the frontal damage? Was only crashed and sold via Manheim Salvage within the month? http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache%3AkNYJE2SLSRgJ%3Awww.manheim.co.nz%2Fdamaged-vehicles%2F4794890%2F2003-bmw-z4-e85-convertible%3FreferringPage%3DSearchResults%20&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=nz

sounds like rear bushes are faulty too. i have everything to tidy it up and still not worth it. E36s just worth nothing these days. much like E30s 6 years ago actually probably worse. good for those of us that race them tho

Spent some time in a sadly futile exercise of trying various relatively non-invasive things to find why the 320d won't start. Could be timing I suppose, although seems unlikely given it was running perfectly before stalling when I lifted off the throttle while travelling at ~85km/h. The obvious thing is to read codes, but that can take some time when it's impossible to get the car to the diagnostic kit. Fortunately, a Very Nice Man has offered to loan me something that should help.

I spent more then a few hours on bringing the m-pars back to life, very happy with the result. Realise how shat the tyres are now though, need to sort them this week. Still my fav wheel option, spec in lovely 18s

Its a matter of taste. Theyre a hell of a car. Would much rather prefer one of these over an e30 m3 as theyre blimmin gutless and a bit boring to drive.

More updates on my excursions! visited hampton downs to do some skid pan work. Trying to handle the car in a tight, slow environment was very... tiring. I don't have power steering and still running the e30 4 turn lock to lock rack. Also i'm finding that i run out of lock very quickly so will need to do something about that. Despite all this I had an awesome time! Learning to drive this car *properly* is so fun. I need to attend more of these types of events and get as much seat time as possible! My car was dubbed the cone eater of the day. my front lip had suffered quite a beating haha Hence its absence Having great friends that always come to cheer me on, I had to take them all for some rides. What better way to show off my new front end setup! The more I drive this car, the more I need to change stuff. Some new bits and bobs incoming

Well interesting update, after a few emails with police they confirmed it was abandoned.. Going to get in touch with AAL and see if they're happy for me to cover the paperwork/recovery costs at which point I have successfully obtained a 750... that's been sitting for two years and I have no keys. This will probably be less fun than imagined.
