The wife has just up-graded to an e91 touring as she is carting crates of avo's/kiwifriut from katikati weekly, so the old faithfull needs to go. was her daily for the past 2 years and has been very reliable. it it showing its age with a crack in bumper and a worn base of drivers seat, passengers mirror has a black cover and a little wrinkled from the glue reacting motorsport - black hoodlining and black/grey seude interior. staggered wheels(?) not sure, spare matches the other 4. glass sunroof etc viewing would be prefered AC is working well and has a pioneer head deck. factory unit in boot. i asked for more piks to post but........ sometimes to get things done - you have to do th.......... anyways, 249ks on clock, engine oil and filter changed at 10k intervals and the trans filter/oil done at 200k. has warrent/wof etc.needs to go- cars in auckland/manurewa. think its an honest car for $1800

It's turned into eBay... except everything costs more, and the range isn't there! The search engine at Bidbud.co.nz is better, and has more options. After searching, you can exclude categories etc, but it's still got the trademe backend, and has to comply with their API's, but it far cleaner and better laid out, same trademe auctions though.

Its an e39 M5 - just buy it If you are worried about the on-going cost of servicing and maintenance and reliability - then don't buy it disclaimer: 'reliability' is not exclusive to the e39 M5 but to most BMW's hehe

Placed my order with FCPEuro 8pm on the 5th and it turned up here in rural BOP today at 9am, must be some kind of record. Wasn't scheduled to arrive until the 18th, thanks NZ Customs and NZ Post for pulling finger (and not loosing anything) for once!

20K - no matter how rough it is with highish kms it doesnt usually get much cheaper than this 25K - either highish kms in good condition or low kms in average condition 30K - hopeful sellers with reasonable kms but good servive history and condition 35K - those who know that these things are rare and have one with 100kms or less and full service history, all work done and well optioned. And anything in between. For a tidy one with good history and only 130kms id say you should jump on it if its anything under 25k. If its more than 25k then its a judgement call on whether you like the options or just want/like it enough.

so.... reluctantly I recently sold my M3!!! With the thought of the wife, parking her car in the garage & trying to take over..... I figured I needed to search for another project. I do miss selling my last E30 so looked for another one & found a rolling body with good bones.( plates were still live (on hold) and budget wise thought I could just build it back up as time/wife allows....(have a young son) its a 320i auto, with electric sunroof. As it is currently stripped of interior It has got me thinking whether I build it back to stock or a fun track car. not sure! happy to hear anyone's thoughts on which direction to go down? or If I built it back to stock would it be better for its value? its not a motorsport or anything at the end of the day! Plans are to drop a m52 2.8 in it & manual conversion, again budget wise temporarily will have to drop in a m20 b25.

I like a good game of Top Trumps, especially the Germany Autobahn-stormer edition featuring these cars. M760Li Rear Brake Rotors - 398mm x 28mm, even bigger plates! When the kerb weight is over 2100kg, it's gonna take a bit of stopping when it's up-to-speed.

Bang on as above. Bought my 2003 M5 in December in the low 20's and have committed to about $6-7k in first year on a preventative/restorative maintenance programme. Buy on history and condition. Give the clutch a good test, load it up in 3rd or 4th gear at speed. Parts are reasonable if you source them yourself, not through BMW. But whatever - just buy it... your wallet may bleat a bit, but you wont...

indeed, that's something that TradeMe has lacked for more than a decade: a decent search engine.

Try browsing the "Seats" category in general parts. Now full of holden seat covers from an Aussie company. Went from 200ish listings to 450+ overnight, makes browsing for race seats a pain in the arse!
