The m60/62 5 series mount is part of the engine mount. So this removes the issue of having to cut down the engine mount and is cleaner finish than cutting and shaving.

I'm not disagreeing with the idea at all - I've done the same thing, as I said... just the details are different You can get the E46 OBC to tell the coolant temp, like you can with the E39 too. The temp gauge on them is a waste of time - it looks like a proper gauge, but it works like those stupid blue and red lights on new cars - not really any help at all! I seriously suggest modding the EEPROM to make it read more realistically.

depends where you take it etc approx. $300-400 for the inspection plus what ever they find worn ,faulty etc , brakes , suspension joints , tyres , lights etc rust ?? plus 200-300 for new plates and rego etc but be careful if it has had any major past body/chassis damage etc if they see anything like that , will require a engineers report etc , and a engineer will only sign it off if he sees it all stripped back etc I would want to get it up on a hoist to inspect it 1st or at least up on jack stands and go under it with a bright light pull back boot carpets , wheel arch liners etc good luck

But now I've fund this forum I'm hoping to find a original NZ 1 so any 1 known if it's possible and its got the carcoal hood lining which ive been told is the Mspec is that ture ?

have a look at your Power Steering Cap. It'll specify if it's CHF-11S (which is not compatible with Dexron III ATF!). If you're unsure, you could call BMW and they should be able to tell you what the right oil is, based on your rego/VIN number. HTH

Packaging is Key. we have a North Euro freight forwarder that's been good to us, but even they are at the mercy of the airlines, unless you are lucky enough to get a direct DHL flight. I'd even go so far as to say, it doesn't matter if the packing is heavier than the actual product, as long as it survives the possibility of being thrown about as part of cargo.

I consult in the domestic freight market and as part of that we deconsolidate international freight shipments; I can tell you this, if its fragile then it needs to be packaged correctly. Int Air Freight will consolidate as they see fit "I want it airfreighted on its own not in combined freight" All freight is combined, that's how it works. Being prepared to pay is all well and good but that will end up as a negotiated rate on an air container which will likely cost you up many thousands of dollars. I suggest you get the person who has it now to make a strong box for it then start getting prices from established carriers DHL etc based on the weight and cubic of the packaged product. If 20 off years in freight has taught me anything it's that packaging is king.

So as I understand it, if the rego has lapsed for more than 12 months NZTA cancel the registration and chase the owner for payment of the registration fees. So you'd be looking at the cost of reregistering (http://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicles/licensing-rego/vehicle-fees/registration-fees/). I would think you'd also want to establish whether the previous owner had paid up to NZTA for the registration for the first 12 months it was lapsed. If not then you're probably up for that as well.
