Thought i would post up some photos, of a run-about car i've been tidying up Not a BMW though, however i did get some BMW floor mats for it Body was in rough shape - scratches everywhere, scuffs and dings, photos hide it well - paint ok, but not black enough for my liking Interior horrible Stripped it out, went to town with the rug doctor, dyed carpet a darker colour Chucked it back together - got some BMW floor mats Popped the headgasket somehow, lol Completely rebuilt head The sanding begins for full-respray Begun painting - didn't bother masking the wheels up since i'm sanding them all back later and going gunmetal Found a another #$#$# ding lol Now for some real HP improvements - painting the engine, metallic red with silver raised lettering Total budget including the car, rebuilding the head, and complete respray under $3500

As for the boot carpet, a jar of homemade marmalade exploded in there, plus it was already grubby when I bought the car so figured I would just acquire a new boot set at some stage. I have had offers over $3000 from workmates but I know they would just run it into the ground and dump it so hoping someone will pick it up as a project.

Interesting, I wonder what they are using for the engine / transmission management systems without connections to all the associated BMW sensors and systems. The Supra clearly has ALL of the BMW systems, where this Morgan looks to have very few extra electronics (from what you can see in the video) hooked up to make it all tick. A "crate" B48B30O engine and ZF 8-speed combination with a stand-alone management system would be very interesting from a kit-car / race car / E30 repower point of view. Yes, I know some very clever people can do all sorts of magic with electonics gubbins and programming the standard BMW ECU but for those of that are more suited to working with hammers and spanners that would remove a lot of that headache to get it up and running.
