2 pointsRight. I just done for GST for the first time in awhile since 2x separate packages under $375 came at the same time so they decided to do me. I dont mind paying GST but its all other BS fees they tack on that piss me off. Yeah Amazon can be good and using Fedex, USPS etc, even though they ain't cheap they are far better than going thru f**king NZ post which you now have to jump thru so many hoops just to get your package its ridiculous. They have certainly teamed up with customs these days to increase their Youshop profits.

2 pointsI would like to see our leaders - regardless of which party or coalition is in power - to simply introduce emmissions testing as part of the WoF regime, and legislation to prevent disabling emmissions control systems for street cars. If the cats really are restrictive, source a high-performance cat. Those in the first world with sensible emissions controls in place, are still able to chase the joy of high performance combustion engines without disregard for their fellow citizens. We can stay redneck, and third world... though eventually we'll need to grow up. We could even do it before we're forced to.

2 pointsHave been looking into a CSL-style bootlid (Seibon Carbon) and diffuser, but undecided as at yet (have heard mixed reviews re fitment with the CSL-style bootlids). Anyhow, latest updates: I've since fixed the missing lip on the bootlid, left-rear door trim, centre caps and fitted Bimmerworld adjustable rear camber arms. The earlier-style mirror modules (non-ribbon-cable) have also been retrofitted, and the GM coded accordingly, so the M3 mirrors are fully functional on a car that originally used ribbon-cable mirrors. ?

1 pointHave had some interest in my '332i' project, so will post up the details here on Bimmersport. This car started life as a 2003 330i m-sport sedan in black sapphire metallic and is being built into an 'M3 sedan'. While the car existed as a standard 330i, I replaced the seats and door cards with black leather units, and retrofitted an NBT from an F30: HellBM then removed the M54B30 and replaced it with an S54B32 & 6-speed manual gearbox: The VANOS was then 'bulletproofed' using the full Beisan kit, uprated cam gear bolts & S62 diaphragm springs, and the valves adjusted: I then rebuilt the donor M3 brake calipers; the front caliper pistons weren't in great shape and were replaced: Caliper carriers media blasted & painted: Calipers prepped & painted (Duplicolor gloss black): Next up was preparing the remaining M3 suspension and driveline components. New Bilstein PSS10 coilovers: Donor M3 subframe bushes removed: CMP Auto Engineering solid subframe bushes were chosen for this car, even though it's intended for street use. The reasoning is two-fold; no movement of the subframe against the RACP should help prevent any future cracking, and the bushes are designed to move the subframe closer to the body to account for reinforcement plates & the vehicle being lowered. The M3 LSD was cleaned, drained and the rear cover replaced: And reinstalled back into the subframe: Trailing arms disassembled, wheel bearings, balljoints replaced & Syncro Design Works monoball RTAB installed: Handbrake shoes & new springs installed: For the front, new CSL kingpins and wheel bearings were used: The old rear suspension & fuel tank were removed from the sedan: And the boot floor removed: No turning back now . A brand-new E46 M3 floor pan was purchased and the centre panel extracted: CMP Auto Engineering reinforcement kit installed: The decision was made to go the 'full way': Donor rear arches extracted & prepared: Test-fitting with M3 rear bumper: Tacked on & then welded fully: View from behind: M3 rear muffler brackets installed (pre-arches): The rear suspension & fuel system were then mostly reinstalled: ECS Tuning Monoball RSMs & reinforcement plates installed: And some more parts removed: A genuine M3 bonnet was then fitted. The guards will be created by joining both sedan and M3 guards: And that's it for now - more to come soon

1 pointSaw this in person when I was up there tuning John’s car for big cams! It is lovely and so well executed (makes me want to build one or a wagon ??) but mate you need a better condition steering wheel ???

1 pointShhh, the gubment will force us all to drive leafs with that sort of carry-on. Think of the children in the cobalt mines of the Congo!

1 pointMy 335i coupe doesn’t clunk or rattle over anything. Only annoying noise is the buzz from the centre console sometimes on the coarse chip roads. Otherwise, very compliant and quiet, even on msport suspension and low profile tires. Also highly recommend Jon at Auto38. If you have to take your car somewhere for diagnostic work and you don’t have space or time, he is the guy! A lot of other places will simply throw parts to try and remediate. Jon will walk you through what’s wrong and what is likely to go wrong in the future if he sees other issues.

1 pointDon't be a pussy. Rip out the cats, they're a choke on the system and probably aren't doing a lot after so many years.

1 pointExcellent, a mod to belch toluene - a carcingen - into the atmosphere, share it with your family, your neighbours, your friends; whether they asked for it or not! The catalytic converter is there for a reason. You can find horsepower without butchering your emissions control system. Try the road less travelled.

1 pointIt’s a standout - I saw the wheels and the R32 badging. Wondered if someone was taking the piss. Then clicked about reading about someone building something like that somewhere! ?

1 pointAwesome. Bloody E36/E46 foor cracks! It's really a mandatory check and repair when acquiring these cars now days. In the final months of my E36 I was going to make a rear brace doing exactly that, just drew something up on the computer and started to cut pipe to spec but never finished as I sold it for my Soarer later that year.

1 pointObtained some leather door cards from pickapart. Had to get a bit feral on the wreck as the doors were all deadlocked. No key for it and even hooking a battery up to unlock the doors didn't work so i had to resort to using a holesaw and a large crowbar. I got the idea after watching a YouTube clip of someone opening a deadlocked door using a crow bar by peeling off the outer doorskin to reveal the locking mechanism. The doors opened minutes later. Picked up an msport steering wheel and started replacing the woodgrain trims.
