Sky Arts Rocks POP-up on Channel 220, and you don’t seem to need a Sky Arts subscription to view. Lots of my faves on today: New Order, Smashing Pumpkins, The Who, all live in concert. Time to settle in.

Got a replica of a BMW performance spoiler so with nothing else to do chucked it on. Much better presence than the factory spoiler.

Hey everyone i am buying a 79 635csi from my work next week. What am i getting myself into?? The car has been in dry storage for 8 years i havent seen it run in this whole period but we have never tried to get it going. It has only ever been towed or pushed to different locations. I put the jump pack on it yesterday and it all powered up and did turn over but I didnt continue to try anymore from there. Now from what i have found out from my research it was produced in September 1978 which makes it one of 98 made that year and was in the first group of RHD manuals ever produced. It is originally from the UK. Was first registered here in 1990. From what i can tell it looks to have the M90 (will confirm, now that i know to look for the L on the block) I have looked in most spots for rust everything looks fine. But that is also without getting it on a hoist. Now my first goal is to get it running and to move it from where it is to give it a major water blast. How much work is going to be involved for me to get this running. I know ill need to dump the old fuel. Here are some photos of the car not the best as its in a dark corner in the back of the warehouse.

Classic numark mixer and 1210’s! Although the tables are positioned the wrong way round ? Will have to have a listen! Actually enjoying listening to some of the ‘live dj sets’ on youtube. My fav DJ at the moment is DJ S, nice smooth, seamless mixing, ahh take me back to the old skool!

Hi Matt, and welcome along! Plenty of love for the e30 here. In the pre-lockdown world the Welly Crewhad frequent family-friendly coffee meets, brunches, cruises, or long-distance trips, and a monthly social night at the 1841 in J'Ville (BMW Car Club NZ, Bimmersporters and BMW enthusiasts welcome). You might care to take a look in the Wellington room and click 'follow' so you get notified when things are happening; you'll certainly be welcomed. I'm sure that in post-lockdown NZ we'll be able to get back to socialising with our mates and cars. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Replace the cmos battery - requires you to open up the unit and separate the two boards to get to it. It’s a standard button lithium battery. you can crack the GT1 bios password with an online program. when you enter the password it gives you an error and provides you with a 6 digit number it is a generic phoenix code I can provide you a link that allows you to enter that code and it will spit out a password. Once in just change the password to whatever or blank. Change the date and time in there - much easier than via the Gt1 menu where you have to physically click it over one day at a time from 2002 - it will take hours!! Infrared keyboard has to be synchronised to work it is the little black button on the top right of the keyboard - usb keyboard can be configured to work quite easily but bit hard to explain on here. email me aviemore.tom@gmail.com

I did one last week where I used a e30 urethane guibo from ireland engineering ($29us) and cut out the old munted rubber one from the e46 coupling. Cheap as and worked perfectly. http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/item/e30steercoupler.html
