Replaced the hedgehog in the M5 after the interior fan developed a mind of its own. Impressive that it’s the original one from 1999.

The car market has gone berserk. This guy must have been influenced by the pricing of that M635csi for $170k currently. In my mind over $100k on the current market value. Same with this M5. Bizarre- “EAG like” prices in NZ (with more mileage too).

Must have sold at $40K thereabouts. This one is a bit nicer for sure, but $175,000? Like he say's 'Happy to keep it in the garage if it doesn't sell" Surely thats the kind of price you would see at EAG with 30,000k on the clock. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3471601362?bof=ICAUiYdW

Hi Bimmersport community, I'm trying to track down as much information about my beautiful 1972 BMW 2002 as I can. I've got the details of the previous owner (as I just purchased it from him) and the person before that, but very keen to speak to anyone who owned or is aware of this car. Trying to paint a bit of a picture of its history - By my count, there should be about 9 owners since NZ new that I haven't spoken to. Previous plates are: NCK968 - 02-Dec-2020 OCTO - 17-Aug-2020 FRP952 - 23-Dec-2010 GW7562 - 29-Mar-1974 The VIN is 2521401 I'm working through the final stages of a restoration (it was largely done, but some final bits to tidy up then building out the car's history remaining).

Going to an exhaust shop is a tricky business. I would hazard a guess and say few if any, actually know how to make a good sounding exhaust and some may just stumble upon greatness. That one you linked doesn't seem like a horrible deal, but if you could find a cheap factory option that would be ideal. FYI the factory 130i exhaust isn't quiet though.

Hi guys, Looking at putting my 2009 335i 6 speed manual on trademe in the coming weeks but thought I would list it here first to see if any members/enthusiasts are interested. I have owned this for just over a year now and have bought another vehicle. Was used as my daily driver for the better part of my ownership. It’s travelled 121,000ks and the water pump has not yet been replaced. Mechanically it is standard apart from an upgraded charge pipe. I was tempted to tune it but wasn’t too fazed as it’s a fun car to drive as is. Has been serviced frequently to keep up with the mechanical warranty and it’s just got a WOF last week. Wheels wont be everybody’s taste but I like them. They’re 19x8.5 vertini magic wheels, tyres with good tread all round. It has a boot lip and a roof spoiler to give it a bit more shape and it has LED angel eye headlights too. I will be including the standard Motorsport suspension and I’m happy swap the wheels with some style 193’s if you prefer the OEM look. Wanting $26,000 ONO. Thanks

Difference is houses sell for 700% appreciation, cars dont. That'll sit there, slowly dropping in price. The market for anyone to spend $175k on a E34 M5, even internationally, must be tiny/non-existant.

Starting bid of $40k, not buy now price. Reserve is higher than the 40k start. Just looks lower, might not be.

Car got a mini overhaul this week with @BMTHUG - Timing belt & tensioner / drive belts, water pump / thermostat / coolant / crank seal / rocker cover gasket / rocker shaft seals / spark plugs and Valve adjustment. Car is running great, little smoother, bit less chattery and perhaps even a placebo 2.5whp. Just gotta do my fluids then time to get on with suspension, interior, wheels and cosmetic stuff.

I now have a new used Abs module onboard. ( yay for friends who have friends who have parts cars and euro garages, who have ABS modules with the same serial number as me ) Installed this arvo drove home no issues so far, fingers crossed.

Ive found ride height always raises after a full refresh compared to before. Being new springs you may need to wait a little longer but most E39's etc are driving around on worn suspension.
