Hey Team So Things are coming along nicely, Picked up a full manual swap from an e92 M3 and pretty much a complete S85 from a M6 ready for the E46 M3 project. Cant wait to get this swap started.

Took car in to get my clutch / driveline vibration looked at properly - has been bothering me a bit for a while and seems to be getting worse (or me becoming more OCD about it). Was assuming a clutch related issue as its mostly through the pedal and goes away as soon as pedal is depressed. Shop reckons it is actually the gearbox - an input shaft bearing? (think thats what they said - there has also been a light rattle at idle in neutral with the clutch out). Still there overnight (safely inside) awaiting the view of an expert who rebuilds a lot of these boxes... Does not sound like a cheap issue 🙁 At least the interior is nice!

Local media using a stock photo of a BMW E36 with European plates for a story about crashes on the Remutakas. It should be a picture of a tradies Ford Ranger. And a photo from the Remutaka's not some Euro highway.

Thanks @Sammo & @Neil McCauley - much appreciated, I've watched the prices fluctuate over the last couple of years and somehow missed putting the red listing on my watchlist. @Neil McCauley photos attached

A friend has kindly secured a set of E38 illuminates interior door handles for me. They will add a touch of 7 series class to the interior and a reasonably straightforward retrofit. Example, from E39 source, here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oUFqXCDDGg

You can tell US style FTPs as they have orange indicator lenses. The Euro style are ‘tinted’. As this is a NZ new it should have the euro style ones, which are way better IMO. Looks like the ones on this car maybe US type or are aftermarket - but I’m not aware that they are available as aftermarket. Here’s a pic of a couple nz new examples for ref 😎

We went to today’s British and European car day, nothing too exciting happened today. I guess the car was happy as my wife was there with it. more photos and videos here of the event: https://photos.app.goo.gl/pxbC9tMnpHcFaxUZ7

Hey Team Happy new years Been a while but have got so much done and a few plan changes. Certifier has popped in, seen the drive shaft hoops and he is happy with the outcome. Heaps of little jobs done to get the motor finally running. Relocated the heater water valve, DIY oil catch can, relocated dip stick, welded O2 sensor bungs in, coolant and heater hoses, finished off the rear end of the exhaust, AC lines and other small stuff. So I have had the motor running on the hoist for a good 10- 15mins to bring up to temp checking for any leaks or issues. But ran like a dream, custom oil pump has pressure so very happy it has worked out. Cant wait to take it for a drive. Also a massive update on the v12 swap, Nelson at Hartley Motors has started on the intakes using 3d printing to make the runners which will be glued to the alloy flanges, very light when I held them in my hands and look very cool. But big changes in the direction with the builds now ( I know I change my mind quite often) I'm going to twin turbo the v12 motor now instead of ITB's and I will be swapping the v12 in to my X5 4.6is manual. The opportunity popped up which I thought would do more justice for the M3 rolling body. I will be doing a S85 v10 manual swap into it Cant wait to get a start on this swap. Thanks Team.
