Slow progress...... Decided to go with a paint stripper, primer, wrinkle coat combo, not 100% perfect, but a big improvement on what was there. Hoping to reassemble this weekend, just waiting on a new set of fuel injector plug clips. I managed to drop / lose one somewhere so might as well replace the lot. I'm also on the hunt for an engine bay firewall panel (the piece that sits against the firewall between the two cabin filter boxes) in reasonable condition, part number in photo below. Mine has gone brittle and nasty. I see them on ebay etc. but they are an odd shape and shipping is crazy, plus would rather buy local where possible.

Sorry, what I meant to say was the microphone was a bit muffled. After the firmware update it was a lot clearer.

Their announcement about buying all the stock is a little mis-leading as BMW are still producing many of those parts, so there will be more stock coming to BMW shortly. Including the full rear quarter panels which E30Norway only make the smaller flared guard part which does not attach in the same. I have seen varying comments on fit and quality of their parts online, some positive some negative. Not sure I would use an E30 Garage part on a genuine M3, if there was a genuine part available. But that’s just me and I do get discounted pricing. The trademarks question is a good one, if it’s something that isn’t available then that’s good,for owners, if it’s a part in competition to the manufacturer it could be interesting.

Can't see anything E30 about it, even got rid of the Hofmeister kink. Don't actually hate the look, more easy on the eye than the humongous bulges they're offering nowadays but how is this a homage to the E30 exactly? The round headlights?
