Be careful, what cars are listed for on Trade Me does not suggest the market price. There are a lot of dreamers out there. In my experience, I would say a E46 manual with command a premium of $1k-$2k over an auto if you found the right buyer... In saying that $10k seems to be tops for a non M3 E46 these days

Been a good day of scoring some rarities. Scored a full racing dynamics kit for an e36, Stole the under bonnet light from the 325 and put it in the m3, changed park lights to u.s spec while I was there, just need orange lamps to finish. Oh and a set of electric rear windows for a coupe! Wank factor+++ now!! Also got a new tool box and gas struts for the 325.

Owned 5th gen Prelude Type-S, An Integra Type R, A Euro R and various other non-R Hondas.... and i currently own an M3 in that price range. Apples and sausages, cant even compare them. Honda is FAR easier than an old BMW to live with daily and a type R will out handle, and likely out drive any BMW you can buy for 16K. You dont like FWD Hondas? Thats your loss, but dont go rubbishing them without knowing what youre talking about. To the OP, good luck with the sale. Its well priced for a tidy facelift, especially in something other than white. Shouldnt take long to shift.
