Yeh thanks for all of the 'other' incorrect information - Tom. As for the SMG hater, a clutch is only good for dropping. Some of us don't get off on mistreating our cars.

After all this time I never knew that if you held the gear lever forward (or back) while turning off the engine the car stays in gear when stopped...who knew that?

The E36 328i M-Sport coupe came on some very nice BBS's as standard in the UK, I always like them, followed by the M3 Evo Sunflowers for E36.

So I bought my first car on the week end, but it needs a bit of work... It's a 1985 Bronzit 525e that is half way through a manual swap, it's got manual windows and sunroof but that just means less things to break (I hope). It's a bit of a mess at the moment, most of the center console is taken apart and there is no gearbox or driveshaft in it. The previous owner has done most of the electronics and put the pedal box in.

A lady with a young child drove this car over the harbour bridge & motorway into our workshop yesterday for me to do a pre-purchase inspection. One subframe bolt was completely missing and the other 3 were only secure by 2-3 threads. I have no idea who worked on it and nor does the present owner.

It's launch control procedure (the turning off the engine part isn't, you are suppose to hold the brake and floor the throttle, let go of the lever and hold on)... it's in the manual. If you are on a hill, pull the downshift paddle back and it'll hold it for hill start.

As some will know BMW have teamed up with the Mission Impossible series on the latest movie. From the photos it looks like they had to have a few takes on some of the action scenes... I wonder what will happen to those cars now., off to the recycling centre I think. What a shame, I'm sure I could save most of those. I'll try not to cry when I think of them when watching the film..

Pros: Reasonable mileage, good condition, service history, NZ new, 330i Cons: Not a popular colour combo, beige leather and wood... Non-m-sport, awful wheels, tape deck, no bluetooth $5k may be a little harsh, but certainly nowhere near a $10.5k car - anyone that puts "tyres nitrogen filled" on their car advert has some odd ideas about motoring. I would put it in the $6k range, he is into 6-cylinder E90 money at his asking. Keep an eye on the $1 reserve silver M-sport 330i auction, currnetly at just over $4k (sorry silly browser won't let me copy a link at the moment) to see where that ends up. Since you asked... FWIW, my wife's car is an '04 330d M-Sport touring manual brought it in many moons ago and the purchase price wasn't much above his asking way back then - but it was from the Uk.
