People say sharp price, I say market value. So many trademe residents sitting there at 30k+ and never selling. Markets taken a dip even overseas.

I don't have the patience for the secret menu to see engine temps. I dumped one of these in it. https://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/p/nulon-nulon-pro-strength-extreme-oil-flush---500ml/561575.html If the oil comes out like tar I Will get some random full synthetic and another two filters. Its been really nice to drive, I need to keep reminding myself E90/N46 it's a lemon and I need to move it on Seems bloody economical too.

I think the silver stuff is just light catching, sunny day, I'll have a closer look tomorrow. Old Oil seems to have finished burning off the manifold and exhaust which is nice. First time the vanos opened up under full throttle it dumped a bunch of smoke out the back which made me panic, but that hasn't happened since. Been driving it around to Loosen everything up before the compliance tomorrow. It seems to be running well, there is a slight tick on the drivers side of the engine bay which I hope is just somthing loose and rattling. It gets a little faster as the revs come on and seems to dissappear over 3000ish

Wouldn't hesitate buying a M60 V8. They have a few weak points like any engine (mainly leaks and PCV system) but they don't have any major expensive failures like the later BMW V8's. They get better fuel economy than the M30 while being much more powerful. Not bad to work on but it can vary depending on what you doing. M50's are certainly the the most balanced choice, they like to rev but lack the torque of the M30. They don't have the ease of access compared to the M30 and aren't quite as robust externally with more things to fail being the of the newer design 6's.

Ours got written off at 215k from memory with one $900 repair and servicing. That’s Nz new with a history, I’d take a punt if you could chip him. id say an m50 b25 wouldn’t be that far off a 3.5 and would be way more efficient.

Shop around, even different dealers have different pricing. I can tell you we are alot cheaper than $60+ and we have a set on the shelf

Well of course, there wasn't anything wrong with their o-rings otherwise they'd have done the decent thing and replaces them all... Right??? Like my mate reckons: deny, deny, deny- and 9 months later, still deny.

I recently ordered $1000 worth from FCP and whilst I split it into sub-400 dollar lots (including shipping) and ordered over several days some items still arrived in country on the same day, even delivered to me in the same van, and I wasn't pinged. As it turns out, for that $1000 I ended up paying $120 more for shipping but saved over $500 in duty, taxes and administration fees. The new rules will mean I'll pay $120 less for shipping and about $200 more for duty and taxes, a net $80 extra, on $1000 worth of goods. The goods, if purchased from BMW NZ would have cost me $2286. No chance I'm going to start buying locally, it's just a tax grab by the Government, it's not going to help local companies at all.

These wheels are OEM on the Z4 M Coupe. Need them because previous owner sold them off my Z4 M Coupe! ? Cheers

Really interesting tear down of the New B58. Quite a few surprises over your normal 6cyl Turbo. Very interesting.
