  4. Yeah, brilliant tyre for the money..........trouble is now they are made in China.(Mine German made.)

    My Baby

Z4 looks good, they seem to be styled spot on.Whens the supercharger arriving?????????
  7. Waiting a while, my first E34 525i in 1989 was $85,000.(thats why they call me Mr E34)
  8. Hey Graham( Apex), been a few E30 Touring conversions in the UK with the 6 cyl M3 engine. Saw one for sale on Pistonheads for 6000 pounds, complete rebuild including brakes etc, cost a small fortune to build, if you know someone over there get them to bring it back under the exemptions.......just a thought. Have you seen the complete M3 engine/box/pedals/ etc on tradeyou?? 8 odd grand.
  9. This is the E28 Alpina. http://www.thealpinaregister.com/images/b10/3.5/5537/06.jpg
  10. When do you think the beast will be finished? Is it going to be pay to view like sky telly?
  11. You wont get the B10 Bi-turbo for 25k Penry.
  12. E28 B10 Alpina not based on M5.
  13. I just took the pwr figure & added + 20% on the calculator, your way is prob more accurate, it still doesn't stack up though.....to say you have 25% loss on a manual 214hp car isn't right......say you measure 300hp @ wheels, divide by .75 gives 400hp@ flywheel, take same car with 250hp@ wheels divide by .75=333hp@ flywheel, 400hp car looses 100hp drivetrain, 333 hp car looses 83hp drivetrain.
  14. That shows how the factory figures are the best possible, those pwr figures don't come close Brent..........................160kw x 1.34 =214 hp + 18% (manual)=252hp or + 25%= 267 hp or +30% =278 hp, the losses are nowhere near that so the factory figures are theoretical when you select the best possible blueprinted new engine. E46 M3...250hp @ wheels, where did the other 90+ HP go??
  15. $25k mmmmmmm........maybe Alpina E30 C2 2.7, must be last of the M Tec2 Alpina E34 B10 3.5 Alpina E28 B10 3.5 must be last of the E28 BMW E30 2.5ltr M convertible, must be the last built...full factory Mtec 2, full bubble leather. (200 built of this special one) Not really interested in convertibles only this one for nostalgia. All manual......... + all must have full factory bodykit...prob won't get the E28 now under 25k.
  16. Factory HP is the best engine selected with little or no ancilliaries, real world is nowhere close unless you strike a brilliant engine.
  17. Reality is seldom as good as the dream Graham, might not be fast enough for you now after all the quick cars you owned.
  18. Your losses with manual gearbox/drivetrain approx 18%, could be slightly more but you have to be realistic. Be good to see your setup, the tuning is the hard part, takes TIME to do it properly. 300+HP@ flywheel or take the engine out and put it on a bench dyno.
  19. I assume thats rear wheel HP, do you make your own ECU or did you just buy something. Be pretty interesting how far you take the power output, i still like the Alpina B10 twin turbo with approx 360hp @ flywheel. How is driveability etc?
  20. Maybe save some money for your future first, no money in cars dude.
  21. Will shoot up the the road to my bookie & have a look Simon, haven't seen that copy around in Auck yet. They are well behind for BMW Car, if you ever need a place to crash in Auck let me know, you can stop in here.
  22. Thats a TOP result running an auto.................this is my dyno chart. Stock 4ltr V8 Vs 3.4ltr M30( custom fuel/timing map) ......20kw+ @ wheels.
  23. They look good in the flesh, lose the new Alpina 20 spoke alloys. The BMW version is better with the 5 ltr M V8. Not sure why Alpina tinkered with this one & removed the M engine for their 4.8ltr M62.
