It's in hiding for a reason!
-
They look good on the E34 Simon, still a good alloy after all these years.Always worth $$$$ if you decide to sell later etc if you go for another look.
-
Your car already has a cold air box, even with headers you wouldn't notice the diff in 0-100k time, the 2.5ltr engine wouldn't make as much torque as my M30b35 at 2000rpm. If you want the quicker times change the diff.
-
You are correct there Crockett, Mercedes used to show customers an S Class strung up (dangling in the air) from the B pillar door latch. My associate has looked at it & will have a go at buying it, he already has one but this one is pretty tidy, has a crack in the dash & the odd scuff, chap bought it from his old mate M Clark when they traded it.

Andrew, why not forget all that M20/M50 business, spending thousands trying to get pwr/trq. Just drop in a stock M30 engine & box from an E34, give you well over 200hp @ flywheel + 300-320nm torque. BMW did all the design work for you on this engine. Bulletproof boat anchor of an engine.....blow it up & Paulie Soprano can use it as a substitute for concrete gumboots on someone. Google Alpina's version...E30 B6s or go to: http://www.e30.de/335i/00.htm Have you joined the club yet? Give me a call so i can check out your car.

Manual 540's come up for sale in the UK for 1000 pounds, if you know someone on an oe get them to buy it & bring it back. Plenty of better Alpina's over there also.

First thing i would do is close this thread.

Sorry to see that Cain, all the best. I heard the thump from my place....
-
Power Output is estimated at flywheel using dyno calculation...263bhp, very successful conversion work.
-
Good to know pedals, its not your line of work is it?
-
An improvement over the BMW version but still locked in kiddie land styling...case in point the steering wheel, lets have sharp swooping cuts across it to define it's lines, dated before it left the factory..+ that whole dashboard architecture.....not subtle class
-
For professional (a term many don't understand) wheel alignment go see the owner of 'The Shock Shop' Chris, the Grey Lynn branch..(Gt Nth Rd)..yellow & blue building. He covers all 3 sentences in your quote.
-
Manual 2.5 ltr, also don't forget the manual box will last a long time unlike the auto .Just offer low, get a BMW prepurchase done first, if only a few minor issues come up start at 6k, you can always increase your offer

Ageless E34 lines/build/materials.............E39 ...no comment.

Quick search found one http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C74964

The bearing story is true for a certain year etc, my mates car had the complete engine replaced because of all the metal in the oil....if you buy a NZ new with history then all the questions/doubts don't exist.. theres your answer.
-
Yes, the only one is the last batch of MTec 2 FACTORY Motorsport.....you can pick this one because it has full body kit, full leather incl console, Mtec 2 S.wheel etc etc etc, + the leather seats etc are all in bubble leather (term used i think)..BMW only built maybe 200 (R/H drive)or less, not sure exactly but not many at all. edit...only M325i convertible, not any smaller engined cousins....UK prices 6-7k GBP last time i saw one.
-
None of those 525i's are the sport model, haven't seen one in NZ, UK only got them i think....Brent Hartge may know This is a E34 525i sport: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/890915.htm The best all round package in an E34 is the 540is (6 speed M package) $10-15k Next is the 535is Then the 525i sport stock 525i autos M20 wouldn't be worth much, 2k. The 535is is a gas guzzler when only used for city driving & the manual can be a bit clumsy at low speed, brilliant high speed cruiser & i mean high speed for a 3.4 ltr 2 valve engine. The 525i is a balance between economy & some useful pwr but a tad low on torque.......good car if you intend using as a daily etc (M5 is a diff kettle of fish again) edit: or just get a 540ia (auto)

E36 BMW 318IS Motorsport, anyone remember the history?
mr E34 replied to Golfboy666GTI's topic in General Discussion
You are on the money there, i bought one over 2 yrs ago(Sept 06) for the daughter, NZ New, Boston green (nice dark colour) all black leather(front sport seats), stitched door cards, 17" multispoke etc etc, 72,000km,full history paid $10k. eit: for those not in the know, has the M44 engine. -
Penry, pm Wayney...he has 'special' freight services, not sure if they apply to the UK.
-
Your opinion Penry, however i have never seen a range of cars that display poorly balanced lines, a mixture of sharp creases leading to distorted panels.....massive weighting to some panels/bootlids & yet tight tapering on others...a mixture of THEMES that are plain horrible. (I don't use any of those terms lightly) Good riddance to a twit! edit: thought i should make clear this is only an opinion on good/bad design & has no disrespect to you penry.

Simple policy when dealing with the law, tell them nothing....have instructed the kids if ever stopped or questioned etc, tell them nothing & call me. edit: trust is good, security is better
