  1. The thread's in the block, so new sump solves nothing. You can get new threads inserted, would expect Glenn's got the gear, then you can keep all the bolts the same. Called a helical thread repair.
  2. Not so sure on that carefully bit Milan?
  3. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-157213551.htm No pics of the wheels tho, and can't decide which plate to put on it.
  4. if it's in that sort of condition you'll probably need to fit a new water pump, fairly straight foward. Pay to do the cambelt at the same time if I was you. Front shocks are easy too, go new again, steering rack I'd go second hand, Ray at HellBM is a forum sponsor and can probably help you. ps, welcome.
  5. Offset's wrong, only good for 5's and 7's.
  6. You normally notice the subframe bushes when cornering. More likelt to be the donut, or maybe the rear diff hanger bush could be broke, or those diff bolts. Also check your top shock mounts in the boot?

Kym, depends on budget. IMHO best would be upgrade to M30b35, same box etc, gives you extra 48hp. If you don't want to go that far, I'd be looking at a mild cam, 284 maybe, and a reprogrammed chip. Should give you maybe 25 to 30hp, and if you do some yourself maybe $2000 or thereabouts?
  10. Are you talking about the old ARC/ Vodafone reclad at the motorway ramp top of Hobson? My company did the install on that, about 12 to 15 years ago I guess. Did it out of swinging stages.
  11. Thanks Guys, someone had to put a number up, didn't they? See some of you tomorrow night at the BMWCC AGM I guess?
  12. Stretch gauge Jimmy? Isn't this just like our bolts where you tighten them to a set torque, and then finish them off with a degree turn, like 30 degrees etc? I just cut a circle of cardboard and marked the degrees on it and away I went. I can't imagine any other way to measure stretch?
  13. Yeah, do a bit of signage. Nice stuff to work with, very clean.
  14. Self employed for most of my life, can't imagine working for someone again. Fabricate and install Aluminium composite panel on commercial Buildings. Everyday drive's an Isuzu Elf 250, site meetings etc. get to take the E28 M535i.
  15. Only need one thanks, 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa Cheers.
  16. Says it all when asked what now for the car, " A few trips here and there, whatever proves it's the Ultimate Driving Machine. I'm no curator." Use it or lose it.
  17. Didn't realise we had some dwarf members on this forum?
