I'll take the other side on this one and say I expected a bit more from some of you guys. The guy's just trying to sell some stuff and although you may think it's rubbish, I've seen some of the stuff on some of your cars and have had to bite my tongue, so give the guy a break, and as the old saying goes, if you can't say something nice, shut the f**k up, or something like that.

Wouldn't get an E24 older than an 85 or 86, make sure it has the newer rear subframe, needs to have the dogbone links. The earlier subframe and chassis are not as good as the later ones.

Got an E28 M535i, genuine, plastic kit, auto, needs some TLC but sound car, looking for a new home. Have a manual box and flywheel to go with it. Within your budget too.

The trick Jon, is to go in with hope but not expectation, and then bask in the glory when it comes to fruition.

Considering where England are, I can understand your cynicism Jon, must be hurting. Growing up, I also was a round ball player, and used to get hell from my mates in those days for playing soccer. I played for 45 years for the same club, only retiring when I started the E30 racing game 4 years ago, the body was saying enough. When growing up I used to watch Match of the day every week, and always supported England, I mean, NZ was never going anywhere then. So, give them a chance Jon, and celebrate where your adopted country has got to, you might even enjoy being on the bandwagon?

Yeah, I stripped one from an E28 520i 1985 last month.

They come from some early E30s, E28s and E34s, from behind the M20 engine. Same ratios as the getrag, supposed to be a good box. May have been some behind the 318 M10s by the looks of that link.

Existing master is fine, I did the same change on my first race car.
