Rear water plate on the back of the cylinder will be leaking. Your smoke will be the start of valve stem seals failing

You must use the genuine coolant mixed to the correct specifications on your 135i or you will risk damaging your electric water pump. BMW coolant has a lubricant in it. There is a special venting (bleeding) procedure that sometimes needs a good quality scanner to carry this out.

Can someone please have a look at this ? I can't find where I can put my logo and website etc. As a sponsor I'd like people to recognise who I am when answering questions and offering advice. I think I should have said signature..not avatar. Are you also able to make all the sponsors logos a lot larger on the forum main page listing ?

The way I see it, you seemed to close that gap up on him slightly giving him no option. I would of backed of and given him a little more room. Ever made a mistake while driving ? No ones hurt...move on

I'm just doing the white snail variety that can do 100kph up the Bombays and pulls over for dickheads that want to do 140kph and then sit in front of you for 20 kilometers at 90kph

I looked at ways to get around this when I was preparing to do a very special engine build, however I couldn't find a manufacturer that built buckets for puks in the same diameter as the BMW lifters... then I became a grand father and couldn't be f**ked any more. Most performance built engines use more positive valve systems that don't rely on hydraulics... just look at the Ducati desmo system. My interests have changed over the last few years.... anyone want to talk about solar
-
Exactly what I was implying as well Ron. I've been caught before with rebuilt cams. One was a very costly exercise. The hydraulic buckets on the BMW's have small working tolerances . Back circles must be perfect or the hydraulic element will just pump up and the valve won't seat correctly in the closed position with a loss of compression
-
Grinding the cams will create a lot more expense because the head will have to come off to rest the valve heights

When I open Bimmersport, what should I see on the first page ? Because it looks sh*t

How do I restore my old avatar ?

The sponsor banners could do with a tweak in the size too if that's possible
