Would you like me to drive over there for you and ask them and then report back to you ??...... because I don't know for sure. You would need to check with them and they usually don't answer the phone as I said in my second post on here
-
Go and talk to them
-
Sorry Jon.... my attempt at humour was uncalled for... could we start again ?
-
Express keys in Penrose can help with this. Don't ring... they don't answer the phone... too busy Go there

Any body that maybe considering purchasing this vehicle should ring me and book in for a PPI

Thanks for all the replies. All sorted now. The 5 cost $60 to fix and the repairer bought the old 4 off me for a $100 so I purchased a Lifeproof protector for the 5
-
On / off switch on the 4 and and crack along the top of the back on the 5 plus the ear speaker doesn't work
-
Does anyone here recommend a repairer in the Auckland area? I have a 4 and a 5 that need repairs

Kick down cable if it's auto ? TPI switch not returning to idle ?

If the battery is older than 4 years or the original battery, replace it. You will also need to fit the correct battery and have it registered to the vehicles systems to work correctly. This can only be done with the correct scanner. These vehicles have high battery demands and charge loads. I would also get the technician to do a full module scan on all systems first to check if there are any problems at the same time.

I would suggest the OP gets a professional PPI
-
Yes I did misread the OP Was a hard day yesterday splitting and storing fire wood.... it gave you more to argue about though I'll amend my list

Scanner needed

You would need to clear the fault codes and adaptions in the 525 then try it

Rocker cover , oil filter remote housing, dip stick breather hose, sump gasket, oil filler cap, PCV valve & associated breather hoses

Pump and thermostat must be changed and only BMW coolant used at the right mix ratio. There is a special venting procedure to bleed the system and sometimes a scanner has to be used to carry out this procedure to activate the water pump. If not done properly you will be doing it again

I'd go back and talk to them then

Where the door trims removed to do the tints ?

It's got that very special M3 engine as well -
$800 to replace the plastic trans pan with intergrated filter & pan seal. Special oil is required and the harness socket in the rear of the trans needs to be replaced at the same time. Oil level checking is temperature sensitive
