I only hope lives are not lost... With earthquakes, Waitangi Tribunal pay outs and asset sales, this country is fast becoming bankrupt. 3 years going on 4.. peoples lives are still at risk in ChCh, financially, physically and mentally.

You could also make me a serious offer on my little girls car. It's more dangerous than a E36 M3 or E39 540

Come on guys. The OP has a 2001 e39 530 (6 cylinder M54). If you don't really know how to do it and you haven't done one...don't offer advice. It's not an E36, E30 or E39 540. The procedure for every engine type and model type in most cases is entirely different.... go read up on the TIS programme, and you shouldn't always rely on what you read on the web & in other forums. And I have spoken to the OP

Photos or a link are required in the For Sale threads

Maybe not. Either you or the scanner could have caused the fault. The "actual" fault needs to be diagnosed first and go from there. Is the tamper fault still coming up ?
-
That scanner causes you more trouble than what it's worth. If it doesn't "fix it'self" like last time, it might be a tow to the dealers. Or you can ship it here. Jamaica to here shouldn't cost too much
