  1. Each dealer will have their own rules about fitting aftermarket parts, we do but others do not. As to the warranty, yes it can affect it but also depends on the scenario. But if the car fails you'd expect them to bend over backwards for you no? I think you'll find most people who work in the industry do it because they enjoy and have a passion for the brand. Just because we work for the dealer doesn't change why we work there
  2. There's one on eBay Don https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F123670856493
  3. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-bmw-m3-16/ Currently $USD26K but it has 200,000km on it
  4. Yum, I kinda regret selling my old set but they would just go to waste sitting in the shed GLWS
  5. Cheaper for bimmersport members. Also have a brand new rear chrome trim as well
  6. He was a little taken back by the offer as he wasn't expecting that much. At the time he declined, he said he didn't know what he would by in place of it
  7. Meet a guy at e30 megameet 2016 who had been offered 90k the week earlier for his m3. I think it was just a standard m3 but a very nice one at that so money is out there just a limited amount of people who want to spend it on an e30

    BMW diesel fires in Korea!

Starting to see a few recalls on diesels for EGR cooler issues. Not sure of relates to the fires they are talking about but if you have an F series diesel then either check with your local dealer or PM me you rego/VIN and I'll check it on Monday when I'm back at work
  9. Been thinking about this for a while but have decided to sell this as I don't have the time, space or money at the moment to do this properly. If anyone is interested then please PM me
  10. https://www.bimmerarchive.org/e-code/ Also includes Mini
  11. Keep say 10k on floating so as you pay it off and if the car breaks then you can pull some of it out to pay for the repair. I do instead of saving so I pay less on the mortgage. Have to be careful not to overspend on it however

    z3 short shifter

anyone got one lying around or where to get one new?
  17. The correct oil for your car is 5W30 so none of those. Would have thought it come up on the Castrol oil finder seeing as they are the approved oil for BMW
  18. LOL... genuine coil is $149 from BMW so don't know where you are getting that number from E: all N engine series are at least
  19. Thermostat is closed until it reaches temp then opens and closes to maintain running temperature. When it is closed, the car will idle and run a little richer to help generate heat. Since the thermostat is open, there is alot more coolant to heat meaning it is slower to reach temperature and longer time spent in the 'warm up' phase
  20. If the thermostat is stuck open, then in theory it should improve consumption as the idle will be lower as the engine reaches optimal running temp faster
  21. I know you don't want to spend money but a scanner is going to be your most effective solution here. Otherwise you will be spending money on parts that are not needed
  22. Very, especially if you are doing the coolant temp sensor as well
  23. We sell autosure extreme (their top cover) for $1890 for 3 years cover
  24. Coming along nicely and loving the detail in the posts.. see here for shifter play, I'd say you are right in needing a new shifter https://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/E36-Shift_Bushings/E36-Shift_Bushings_2.htm
