You'll need to keep the receipts of the servicing if you plan on claiming on Autosure, stamps are not enough so best to use garage supplied parts for servicing
-
Now now children. Let's provide some helpful advice and if you don't have anything worthwhile then don't say anything. As long as the car fully checks out and you do your due diligence then doesn't matter where the car comes from.

Gough do it here in Chch, not sure if they have a branch in Auckland though

Govt has announced the following today. What is interesting is that there is no duties on goods under $1000 so in theory you can get away with not paying GST or duty on the goods if the company doesn't import much into NZ https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/107929221/taxfree-internet-shopping-to-end-next-october

@OP6 don?

Or someone drove in it. Interesting how people always assume it was the drivers fault

Newly purchased 135i running badly - beginning of a saga?
Gaz replied to SteveArmy90's topic in Maintenance
These will be the newer design which you can't/shouldn't mix and match with the older type rather than the older fault prone ones -
We had a white one at Chch BMW but I think we sold it to a customer in Hong Kong
-
MBI will definitely cover it, will even cover the tow

Looking for a nice shifter knob and shifter arm bracket bush for the e30. Can't find anything decent on UK ebay at the moment as Mrs is currently
-
Thats an interesting read, thanks. I was going with e46 330 fronts and m3 evo rears which are slightly smaller than e46 330 rears so assume the outcome will be similar to 330 brakes all round? Its also going on a touring so with the extra rear weight I think it will be ok
-
How does that work? Would have thought matching front and rear would have given best balance. See alot of 'mericans use e46 328 rears, 330 fronts
-
Keeping the rears stock? Be interested to see how you go, looking at doing the same but using m3 evo rear pads and discs
-
What other plans do you have for the brakes? Did you notice much difference with the 330i brakes?

@WYZEUP time to add a supercharger mate!

That link doesn't actually check to see if your car has any recalls, just passes on your details to the local dealer to check and follow up
-
This. Call your local dealer with the vin number they can check the history. Or pm me and I'll do it when I'm back on at the work on Wednesday

The warranty has nothing to do with the previous owner, warranty is attached to the car. Assuming it's NZ new then the service plan ceased when the previous owner sells the car as that agreement is between the owner and BMW NZ

Need to send some side skirts off to Aussie, any idea who is best/easiest to use? Cheers

Agreed that would be fraud however they didn't, so its not fraud so by bringing it up are you trying to provoke a reaction? Certainly not the way to go about things -

You didnt accuse him of selling cars with clearedfault codes did you? Understandably he'd be pissed off cause that's clearly not true otherwise the warranty company would have covered the repair. He is within his rights to ask the warranty if they would cover the repair as the issue could have very well happened after you had picked up the car - that's the risk warranty companies take -
Thanks... dont hold your breathe but I can't wait to get it up and running. A mate has a 3.0si which I have envied for a while

Seeing as this is my 2000th post I thought there was no better way to celebrate than to introduce my latest BMW and project..a 2500 E3 aka project paper weight. So the story goes, my hawkeye brother spotted this and a e12 525 for sale on trademe as a combo deal so ended up nabbing them for a bargain. A few months later he messaged me asking if I knew anyone who might want to buy them as he had too much going woth starting his own business. So sold the e12 and a $1000 later the e3 is mine. Where does project 'paper weight' come from? Well it hasn't been run in 10years, rego is still on hold somehow and is mostly complete. It's likely to not do much for the next 6 months while I finish off a few things on the convertible. First step is to get it running and give it a thorough going over. There is rust but so far have only found it in the body panels and then slowly restore it. I got the car 2 weeks after the birth of my first born so hes a good gauge of how long the restore takes.. hopefully it's done by the time he is old enough to drive ?
