  2. Or they could be telling the truth. But hey, lets speculate without actually knowing anything behind the real story cause thats more fun.
  3. Theres very few e39 e46 and e53 drivers airbags affect. Contact your dealer or pm me you VIN and ill check
  4. Parked facing downhill? Check your sunroof drains and around the roof spoiler. You could claim insurance if you can prove it was a sudden failure

  7. Sadly not as I've been distracted by house renos and the e30 vert. Have been picking up parts here and there though. Manual conversion is almost done and then itll be off to get cert etc which hope to have done in a month or so.
  8. I've got an electric one. One motor has died and the roof needs alot of adjusting to get it to collapse properly. I'm tempted to pay someone to do it properly for me
  9. Got the vert out last night for the first time since the megameet, great night for a drive. Now to get the top working...

    e90 330i

The only mechanical insurance company I know of that makes you have a trans service is Janseens. The likes of Autosure are very good and require an oil change once a year or every 12-15km. Even through the dealer it is only about $300 and if they note anything wrong, can be repaired with Autosure approval. Your excess is policy dependent so can have a $200 excess if you like. Some companies allow multiple oil leaks to be repaired under the one excess too. Research and reading the fine print are key.
  11. You'll need to get the key enabled so that those functions will work. Each key will have a number associated with it so take all your keys and car to the dealer and get them to add the new one and delete any old ones.
  12. With the vehicle? Unless it has comfort access you don't need to. Plug it into the dash and the remote locking will work.
  13. Could have been the way the vehicle was coded to NZ. Either way, prob best talking to the dealer you got the key from.
  14. Could be a fluid issue but I would still take it to a trans specialist first, get a proper diagnosis because if a flush doesn't fix, you've just wasted coin on fluid you didn't need.
  15. Does it only happen once warm? If so, warm you are describing sounds like a lock up shudder. I'd be taking it to an autotrans specialist and getting them to scan the transmission for faults.
  16. Bump...still got a couple
  17. Can be had from the dealer for about $55 i think. Be careful as there are two types of door locks. ETK showed one type but when I pulled the lock out it was the other
