The road to Picton is over via the inland route which adds another 3 hours to journey, unless you have a verbal quote I doubt they will be able to honour the online quote.

The airbag manufacturer should have a list of the serial numbers affected which BMW AG would translate into VINs. BMW Head Office may be able to help or the airbag manufacture.

Call and talk to your preferred shipping company. They would be able to tell you want the back up plan is if there is one.

Definitely needs a scan. Have seen eccentric shaft wear on these engines of late.

Drivers notice has only been released in the last ~2 months or so

I double checked on this and we have a number of vehicles we are replacing the drivers ones on, imported or NZ New. However not all E46 drivers ones need replacing. Some E53 and E39s are also affected by the drivers airbag.

You can update the bluetooth software yourself with a USB drive, if there is an update available of course http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/connected_drive_services/mobile_devices/bluetooth_software_update.html Can also see what features are compatible with your phone and car.

Maybe he doesn't have enough to retire like his username would suggest so upped the price?

Adapt or die. BMW have survived 100 years by adapting through times of need. If they are to survive another 100 years they need to adapt to the Chinese market, they certainly aren't going to adapt to the needs of one man in New Zealand.

If I find some rears then yea I could well be.

Cheaper and the lower better for a 6 cylinder. Maybe even 4 cylinder ones to get it extra low.

If you have a mechanical warranty then why not get it looked at by a specialist? Depending who you are with, diagnostic costs are cover once the claim is accepted.

Getting UK Connected Drive working in NZ F31 3 Series
Gaz replied to BMWX5UK's topic in General Discussion
Converting the maps can be done via the dealer for about $750. Connected drive options are different between each country based on the laws in each country so dont think anything bad will happen. You wont be able to set it up until the vehicle is here as you do need a code from the vehicle itself. -
bump - quality reps would also be acceptable if anyone knows of some

Who would want to be a site admin? When it was changed to white on black - complaints. Go back to black on white - complaints. Each forum needs a way to stand out so the change in my books is good. Not a huge fan of how it comes on the phone, seems to be a lot of wasted real estate but that's my opinion.
