I used to work for Dell, have used dozens of them and all my friends at work use them and we wouldnt buy anything else.
-
Some photos of my sevens here....Car Domain But my personal fave....
-
It wouldnt happen if people took the time to read the rules and followed them.

The clips are cheap as chips from the dealer and I dont think the tools are that expensive either are they ? To be fair Ive only had to buy them in the UK and they were cheap then, Ive not had to buy any over here.

Class After the first episode I was wondering if an appearance was going to be a badge of honour....after seeing the second episode Im not so sure !!

Nice to hear its not just the BMW dealers causing people problems. You wouldnt know we were in the middle of a financial crisis with customer service like this would you? Ive been trying to find an e39 for my mum the last couple of months and its just been so painful having to deal with main dealers who to be honest are just plain liars. I couldnt believe the discussion I had with the bloke at Jeff Gray, he knew absolutely nothing about e39's whatsoever and just lied through his teeth as to whether bits were missing or broken......that was of course after he told me to wait whilst he ate his apple when I asked him for a print out on the car

Welcome back VBH

They are bots signing up and sending everyone PM's. There has been quite a bit of coverage of this on the forums as its been happening quite regularly recently. Just delete them until we can get a software fix sorted for the forums to stop it from happening.

Im really keen to hear your thoughts on this Graham because if I 'ever' sell the touring an e34 M5 is going to be very high up on my list....as is an e39 540m Ive just spent the weekend in a friends motorsport 540 and I love everything about it except for the steering. Compared to the steering on my touring it is very very light. So light in fact that Im not sure how comfortable I would be if I were to be pushing it through the corners. Obviously there are the steering differences between the e39 6 cylinders and v8's but I wasnt expecting it to be so different. So do you really think the M5 was even lighter ? Also its interesting you say the 'take off' speed is faster in the 540, my understanding was that the M5 was half a second faster than the 540, have I got that wrong or has time just taken its toll? Or is it that the torque of the v8 makes it seems just that little bit faster ? So I will be very keen to hear how you get on in the next couple of weeks as you spend more time in the 540 As for the dyno figure, my 740 (with the M62) had sportier exhausts fitted (still with the cats, although they were defined as 'sports' cats whatever thats supposed to mean) and it dyno'd at 263rwhp which is around 300 at the engine if you take a conservative figure off due to the auto, so that pretty much matches yours. If yours was chipped as well Id expect it to be making considerably more to be honest.

I accept that I shouldve said that it is browser specific but I dont go around making things up !
-
It doesnt automatically resize them which is why I asked you to do it. Do you think I was making it up ?Any more smart comments from people and this thread will be locked. The only reason its still open is the hope that people will realise just what does happen in an accident where speed is involved, regardless of who is at fault.

Do us a favour mate and add the photos as attachments after having made them a little smaller. I cant even fit them on my 17' widescreen !
-
Graham, If this is Eurolights your getting them from get the Bimmersport discount, he does an extra 10% I think. If its already been discounted tell him you can get them at these prices off ebay and to sort us out something better

Forget the work G and just travel the world for 12 months. If you have money that you can leave behind that will work for you in the meantime just get your stuff together and go. There is no reason why you cant do the odd job on your way, but dont just travel, go to places where you can live, get involved in the community and actually live somewhere rather than do the contiki tour thing that so many kiwis get involved in.Rent a place for a month or two before moving onto the next place. Stop somewhere in central Europe and use the buses, trains and planes to do the whole continent. Spend some time in South America, or perhaps maybe not in the current climate Thats my one regret about coming back. I had the money and the time to spend six months cruising around Europe in the 750iL and I didnt take it. Sure we had the two kids and the youngest was only 12 months old, but our house in the UK was going up in value more than the mortgage, Id just got a huge redundancy payout, we had friends in Holland, Germany, France and Portugal and it would've been easy. Ill always regret not taking the chance when it was right there in front of me

Inappropriate or Irrelevant Content on Bimmersport
martyyn replied to bravo's topic in General Discussion
Let me say this from the outset....Im not picking on you Mike, but you do raise several very valid points which I believe are a major factor with the current situation on Bimmersport. You have also yourself (rightly or wrongly) been in the middle of some of the recent events so I want to address your post (and points) specifically. Im going to openly say what I have to say, its not meant to be personal, although I appreciate that it could be interpreted that way and for that I apologise in advance. I can only assume you have not read the forum rules and have not read all the recent threads. Anyone who has done both will know perfectly well why this thread is necessary. But I highly doubt anyone reads everything ! Thats what this thread is for and good on you for being brave enough to raise your points. I know there are lots of people who want to say their piece but they either cant be bothered or just dont want the hassle that can come from it. This is what winds me up the most. There is no 'in-club', but there are people on here who have been members for a long time, people who are good friends, both on here and in real life, who respect each other, respect the rules and know how the forum 'works'. They also expect a certain level of behaviour from fellow members and because they have been here for a while they have learnt whats acceptable and what isnt. They are not necessarily the 'oldies', just as much as those seen to be causing the problems are not necessarily the 'drifters/slabs'. But there are obviously new people coming here, who havent read the rules, are not interested in learning whats acceptable or not and who are more interested in turning a BMW forum into a chat room. You wouldnt walk into a strangers house, sit down, drink their beer, complain about the furnishing, that there is no food on the table, stick up sexist/racist/wife beating posters on the wall and then have the balls to tell them they have no place there any more, would you ? So what makes people think its acceptable here ? Bimmersport is an open, public forum and its roots are what people might interpret as 'serious' in that it was started so that friends could get together, talk about cars, get help and parts when they needed them and generally share their experience whilst having a few beers and some laughs on the way. In saying that its run by the Owners and Admin and they have the final say on what is acceptable and what isnt. Bimmersport has been incredibly succesful with these values and it will continue to be succesful with these values. If people dont respect that then Bimmersport is not for you ****of course when I say 'you', its a generic 'you' and not you directly Mike I dont know what happened to that post in particular, but I will admit to having removed one or two of your other posts recently because they have just had nothing to add to the thread whatsoever. I do it for everyone and its been necessary more and more recently, believe me you are not the only one. Thats why we moderate, we filter out the posts considered to be of no value in an attempt to try and keep the thread readable and on topic. If you have an issue with how your posts are being moderated then you need to talk to the moderator of that forum or contact Admin. Not post the question up on the thread itself. In that particular case I think a couple of long standing members hinted as to why your post had been deleted and to be honest (although they were obviously tongue in check comments) they made it perfectly clear why your post had been removed. How can you make this decision after having been here for all of five minutes ? Hang around for a while and you will see that this is not the case with the majority of Bimmersport members.I think J's (Crockett) post said alot of what I wanted to say aswell. Its about personal responsibility, having respect for other people and respecting the comments of people who have been here for a while. Ive lost count of the abusive emails Ive had simply because Ive asked someone to remove an objectionable picture/comment, an unjustified personal attack, or just a completely worthless post. Why should the owners/admin/moderators put up with that? In other forums Im on around the world you would be banned instantly for questioning a moderators decision. Here we try and talk it through but when someone just responds with an expletive filled PM its not easy. Bimmersport in comparison is incredibly relaxed for a car forum and I for one hope it will stay that way. But the balance has swung too far recently. Too many people are turning the forum into their own 'plaything', abusing others when opinions differ, writing unreadable posts in text languange, swearing where its completely unnecessary, etc. Bimmersport is not here to be a chat room, or somewhere for you to vent your anger at the world from behind a keyboard, its here for BMW people to talk about BMW's....with the odd Pug owner thrown in Finally, I said at the beginning that this isnt an attack on Mike, he raised valid points that I think have led us to the current situation. My reply is aimed at everyone on this forum, new/old/young whatever. Lets get back to talking about cars and having some fun doing it. Cheers Martyn -
Less chat and more pics might mean you'd get less grief.Stop turning every thread into a chat session. This one is a prime example, four pages and maybe only a dozen pictures. So come on, show us your 'chops

Leave as-is, just get one of your lads to keep it clean !

Bull riding monkey wins hands down.

Alright people, lets get this thread back on topic for Kaz eh. If you want to have a chat take it to PM.

What Bravo said, my 750iL had them....aswell as heated washer jets and a heated front windscreen Very handy in the frosty mornings and I think the door locks were triggered by the remote, but I could be wrong on that.
