Watch F1 pretty religiously (if I can stay awake for the Euro rounds) Like to catch qualifying too but missed first round earlier on. To date - not been lucky enough to catch a round "at the track" but fully intend to. I would love one day to follow a full season around the world

Mods - This thread needs closing for reasons stated above ^^^^^ Topic opener has not been back since his first post. The "correct repairs" along with "non approved" options have been presented on this thread for him. The law is the law - He can decide:- For what it's worth - I would advise correct. We don't need an ongoing bitch fight on the rights & wrongs

HB ya old bugger. Have a good one over there Will catch up again one day.
-
Smaller is fine - as long as you can get it over the the tube each end. Vaccum draw off is minimal You can go as big as will securely fit & not leak. Any generic vacuum hose will do.

Stunning pics, great cars, well done guys

HB Milan, catch up with you down south in a month or so.

It is cyl reference for the ECU & yes it does need it
-
So now Nathan - wrap the remains of the broken screen around the head of the muppet that broke it

Tell her to wash her mouth out!!

Don't mean to critisize but bog won't stick well to smooth bare metal - it needs to be roughed up to have the bog key to it properly

Jim, As I said - purple/white is acc in BMW - just need to find one. I haven't seen an E38 for a while. If there is no purple /white in RHS - there is in the left somewhere, for one - the radio tuner (in LHS) has an acc input, so may the nav unit pre wiring - you will find one somewhere there to tap into. Have supplied cameras to several people with E38's - not had anyone not be able to find a supply

Ollie, Battery, leads, isolator switch, starter 1) Battery has been eliminated 2) Leads/ connections - sounds as if you have eliminated the earth 3) Isolator switch -check voltage in & out - while cranking. Or a good jumper lead from battery positive to starter - bypassing the isolator 4) Starter - if above leads are good - then will be faulty starter. Adding another battery source can mask a starter issue - with the extra current available. Another possibility but unlikely - over advanced ign timing

Absolutely!

My indicators work, then stop working? E30 325i

Or if inclined - you can dismantle & fix it. Fault usually a dry solder joint on the board -
Ditto to Dan - Hideous & a waste of a perfectly good car. As above though - each to their own

He knows alot then doesn't he Bloody scary that someone in a place like that is offering vulnerable people incorrect information. There would hardly be a BMW engine that holds under 4 litres of oil in the system. Maybe m10/M40:-

Just put the one I recommended if you want it a bit quieter As Tony said - Coby is a BRAND - They make various exhaust components. They are often misinterpretted by Joe Bloggs with their description. A straight through Coby IS a resonator - as is any other brand of the same configuration - being straight through. Resonators also come in the oval shape. They do though, vary in internal structure - some (as most, but not all) Coby versions have a straight inside tube with holes in that tube. A fluted type (as in second picture above) (and Coby also do a version of) has perferated flutes which are directional. When they are placed in the system with the openings facing forwards - they in effect "catch" the gasses as they pass through - creating a quieting effect - over the standard version. Both are still resonators - straight through. Got to ask the question though - why can't your "exhaust man" clarify things for you & guide you to a suitable solution for what you are wanting?

Fees - 3 -4% from memory Will load to your credit card that you have loaded in your account I would imagine - reverse of paying
-
Wierd!!
-
Seriously - I would go for Paypal, fees are cheaper & is a widely used & reputable site. I have recently had to use WU for a few transactions with one person - I find it a pain in the arse to use. TT is also a pain for filling out details
-
Now has to be the first - of course Bayerische Motoren Werke Then again sometimes.... I can call them all sorts off that list
-
That second picture is a fluted one
-
If you want to quieten it - put a fluted resonator on it
-
You, me & MANY others Mine was a new engine too, and with a sump baffle Ashkan - Well done - looking good

I: - Kept the car & engine with Motronic cooling system - Adapted the wanky slide air valve thingy into it - The round engine loom connector plug on the firewall (if you have also on the Ljet loom) will connect together - a few alterations of adding/subtracting wires for tacho, unloader relay etc but what are there do match Edit - off to watch the Rugby
