You are probably better off investigating the Body Corp with regard to the soundness of construction and any existing problems. I would risk someone else buying it and get a building inspection before you make an offer. Then you can use it to negotiate. Whats SSTT ? 12's is a very quick car. Though note that any NZ strips are way slower than USA. It's kind of weird that the 335i could have far more tuning potential than the m3, due to the fact its turbo.

Well actually, it would be a close call. The main reason I wouldn't is that a version 1,2,3 or 4 STI (and the equivalent Evo's) are all pretty much the same pace as the newer ones that would be in a similar price range to an m3.
