  1. Yes, that would be perfect. I have never seen one for sale though. People tend to either hold on to them, or list them asking for drug money.
  2. Sold for $19k. Brave bid or a good buy?
  3. Would make a cool coffee table with a plate of glass on top of it!
  4. $1 Reserve 535is manual and NZ new. Not too sure if it is an "s", but could be a bargain for someone. A bit rough around the edges though. Sounds like some top bloke is selling it... Would be interested to see what it goes for. The last desirable E34 which was no reserve was a kiwi 540i which sold for just over $3k. My bet is that this 535 will be about the same. TradeMe link
  5. As in pic below. Newer E46 style "3D" M3 badge, to suit any model 3 Series. Most available are just M badges - these are hard to find with the 3. Two separate badges with adhesive backing. Unused. $40 PM me if ya keen!

    Manual 330i

The are 5 speed and IIRC 2000 was the first production year.
  7. Welcome. You could do much better than that for $4k. I would recommend you get a NZ new facelift 318i manual for $4k you should be able to get an 89/90. The 318i is no slower than a 320i and far more economical. As mentioned, don't waste your time with the AA. With an older car I wouldn't bother with a BMW dealer either, they would see very very few E30's these days. When you do find the right car take it to be checked out by someone who knows the cars and works on them frequently. Someone here should be able to recommend a good workshop in Chch.

    Random crap for sale

The auction for your E34 is going very well.
  9. Nice cars, shame about the rather average grid girls...
  10. TVNZ funding rules have been changed and now anyone can apply for it. I figure the Government could seek the release of Prime on Freeview in exchange for funding some NZ content on it. The Government can't make Sky do anything, but could have some influence in a quid pro quo way.
  11. ^^ That text book ingrish is a giveaway.
  12. The guy that is running it is a man on a mission. I agree you can't tell Sky what to do, but if enough people sign it could get the Government interested and hopefully put some pressure on Sky.
  13. Sign this petition if you would like to see Prime on Freeview. Petition link Top Gear in HD would be awesome!
  14. A question for you spreadsheet folks - Why do you keep such a sheet running? For me, seeing such a sheet on a weekly basis would be very depressing! For you business owners, I doubt you would be able to depreciate mods on your car and claim them back, the IRD wouldn't look too happily at spending that wasn't strict repairs and maintenance. However, I figure it could be good for insurance purposes to negotiate a higher payout should your car be written off and could also be good for resale - but most buyers would want to see receipts. Interested for your insight!
  15. Welcome. Do you have pics or any more details on your ti - colour, transmission, options etc... As for the handbook, your local BMW dealer is probably your best bet (may be rather pricey though). I doubt there would be any second hand ones available in NZ. However, you may be able to find on you can download from the net. Some guru on here may be able to assist.

    Can't log in at work

Not sure if anything has changed. There are over 250 people in my office so IT only send out bulletins when something is important. I also doubt they would be keen to help sort a "non-work related" issue like this. Oh well, will probably have to just do my Bimmersportin' after 7pm! EDIT: started happening about a month ago.
  18. Has anyone here viewed or driven this? The "supercharged in Singapore" concerns me a bit. Would it be easy to remove if it developed issues? I love the exterior / interior colour combo.
  19. I can't log in to Bimmersport at work (which in actual fact is probably a good thing for efficiency) and cannot work out why. I can log in from the box in the top corner of the home page, but when I click view new posts it asks me to log in again. I try to log in again and the same message comes up. I've cleared history and deleted cookies. I can log into any other website fine, but not BS. I don't want to ask the IT guys at the office, as they would probably then look at how much time I spend on the site and add it to the swelling banned sites list. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Or is there something simple I'm not doing? Cheers

    Photoshop

I see on here and on other forums the amazing work some people do with Photoshop. I wouldn't mind having a go myself and tweaking a few photos. I can remember using an early version when I did 6th form journalism (about 7 years ago), but aside from that I have little experience. My questions are: Is it quite difficult to use, or something that can be mastered in a few hours of playing?; How much will it cost?; Is buying an older version cheaply an OK choice; and Is there similar software that will do the job that can be downloaded for free? Cheers

Are you being serious or taking the piss? They look like some horrid combination of wheels from a Porsche 928/Alfa 156/80's Ford Laser
  22. I'm interested too. Please advise model number
