    My turn

Very nice photography. Looks like something out of UK Car or Top Gear mag
  2. Well if this is something to go by.... (Just missed out on it too!) A guy was selling a NZ new boston green 1993 325i auto done 170km with 18" M sport alloys, M sport spoiler and mirrors, leather CD etc and was asking $5900. I thought it was about right price wise. I sold my (mint) ex-SA 1995 325i SE traveled 195km with leather, nice alloys, CD etc for $5350 a couple of months ago. These examples make me think the vehicle you have described is in the low 4's. If you are in no mad rush to sell, im sure it wouldn't hurt chucking it on TM for $5000 and seeing if there is any interest. However, when you look at the sheer amount of E36's for sale at the moment, it is definitely a buyers market. Only the cheap or very special stuff sells quickly.
  3. Nice car. Where are you located? It looks so familiar, im sure I recognise the plate
  4. Has anyone ordered and received the new replica NZ euro plates from germanplates.com? Are they near identical to NZ spec? Wanting something as legal as possible... And, any more news from people who have received a letter from the police regarding their german plates?

    Ouch!

Check out whats going under the hammer at turners damaged vehicle auction... Link
  6. They always tend to be "Shipping to be arranged" Why it annoys me is that jacking up shipping prices is only done when sellers get less than what they think they are getting for their listing, in a way "covering their losses".
  7. Am annoyed at the moment as it is the second or third time this has happened to me... When you end up winning an auction with a low reserve and manage to get it cheaply, sellers try and cover their losses by jacking up postage prices. A coupe of weeks ago, I bought a radar detector and was charged $15 to send it (no box just the radar and cord) in a A5 prepaid standard post bag which I see selling at my local postshop for about $4. I was fine with it at the time as I was under the impression it would be sent to me overnight in its original box using a track and trace courier. I know $11 isn't much to grumble about, but it does annoy me! Has anyone else experienced this?
  8. 94 525i one owner NZ new with low kms in a good colour combination... TradeMe Would be looking at it in a flash if I wasn't at the other end of the country!
  9. Some manufacturers (I think Mercedes and Porsche) will let you order either right or left hand drive no matter where you are. I don't think there would be anything stopping you from doing this in America. $84,000 / 0.74 = $112,621 Plus freight ($3k) = $129,182 Plus GST = $126,182 Plus NZ reg, compliance etc ($1k) = $130,182....... Or even better a new Porsche 911 GT3 for $106,000 USD....

Seach on eBay - there are plenty!
  12. Don't mean to be rude, but why would you waste the sellers time and go for a joy ride in a car you are not wanting to / going to buy?

    Part two

    Hmmmm......
  14. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...&key=307130 Thinking of going for a drive to see it myself...
  15. To me there is something about ABS/Airbag/Gearbox lights coming on that suggests SELL SELL SELL
  16. And everyone thought the Merc CLS was a flop... Now they are flocking out to copy it!
  17. How much have you been offered?
  18. A late model Saab 9-5 - they are very good value these days, or a C-Class Mercedes (softer ride and more spacious interior than a 3 series), late model Alfa 156's are bargains too (might be a bit bumpy / tight interior though)
  19. Look at 1994 / 1995 prices (if you can find an old magazine anywhere). Thats where they peaked. Cars are cheaper or the same price now, and taking inflation into account made them even more expensive then! A Mercedes SL600 was $350+
  20. Do you have to order plates x 2, or do they come in pairs? Has anyone had trouble from the law through using these plates? Cheers

    TAXI

Nicer still are Gieselle's legs when she is bein searched...
  22. Quite a few for sale on TM at the moment, but with big asking prices. What realistically do you think the premium over a sedan or coupe is? I seem to recall someone asking $10k for one not long ago which seems like a huge premium to me...
