  1. He's a Honda man, unless He did a 5-spoke conversion these are pretty much useless.Plus, His current tri-spokes are nicer than these anyway. .. Are you suggesting He collects them?
  2. Pretty much would be a mandatory purchase as spare back wheels if anyone did get around to building a BMW D1NZ car... 3-spoke badassness.
  3. PM me a rough figure you have in mind.
  4. I'm guessing when you say 'no fun in the wet' you mean that I'd really enjoy the lack of traction in any situation except hill starts in front of an angry cop?Don't worry, this really clued up guy that races a corvette has convinced me that what I need is 155 rayon cord's and I'll be sweet. Pretty much exactly what I'd planned to do, just wanted a different opinion.. I'm actually very happy with the m-spec suspension in the rear.. It feels like there's an unproportionate amount of roll in the front of the car compared to the back and I'd like to tighten it up a lot..
  5. Lets put it this way, after 8-9 months of 318iSlow.. I can't wait to get out of the thing and even the thought of driving a manual 320 of the same year as my car excites me.
  6. I've already done the 328 rotor swap! And yes, went from vented front and solid rear to vented all around. Doing Mintex 1166's and fluid today. And somepoint later I might do stainless brake lines since they apparently improve pedal feel. Suspension wise, I'm open to suggestions.. Today I'm also looking for a new set of tyres to put on my factory 16"s too..
  7. Reckon you'd take Him if your's was manual and had been chipped, head + cam work, and exhaust and intake..? I'm probably going to go for an M52B28.
  8. There's been an 840 for sale in Tauranga for months and months and months. When I saw it, it looked tidy.. But something's probably wrong with it if it hasn't sold yet.
  9. That me or jammasterjames? Coz if He was in mission bay on friday night too then that's one heck of a coincidence..
  10. Keen to check out the 335! Didn't realise you were a Tauranga local!

    Rangi I.T

From the looks of the abundance of picks on those controls and the acoustic in the background.. Guitar player? We're getting closer to finding his true identity..
  12. I won't disagree, I'd pick a turbo M30 over a worked 318 V8 ANYDAY. Especially if it resided in a 635. Drool.
  13. No, but I drink too much and I end up in lots of disputes. So I can see myself dying from liver disease at 35 or being stabbed to death sometime sooner haha. 325i would be the most economical, read above for what my 318iS is like on gas! Reliability and maintenance is all pretty similar, can't think of any differences for the worse or better as far as maintenance is concerned between the 3 cars.
  14. 8ga is pretty thin for power man! I would have gone with 4ga depending on the kinda amp and sub you want, make sure you've got a big meaty ground too. Even with my 600w amp I run a 4ga power/2ga ground. Remote wire is best from the Head-unit.. or else you'll have to open your boot to switch your sub on and off (if you run a switched line to a 12v power supply in the boot. I'd go with the RCA's, run them out the back of the dash from the head unit, cable tied in place and drop them under the passenger side carpet (next to the door, keep that sh*t away from the gearbox or it'll whine like a $2 bitch) Good luck bro!
  15. I dunno, those Chrysler 318's and 360's are fairly decent for 35 year old engines! there's people who built 350hp ones 25 years ago by raising the compression, whacking on twin 4 barrel carbs on a custom manifold, and a decent set of headers & exhaust , still running on factory internals and not changing the servicing at all raking up thousands of miles without any rebuilds.
  16. If its got a 450hp and 8 cylinders, and a real manual gearbox.
  17. If you put in in the E23 I'll buy you some petrol vouchers
  18. I'm not too sure. Here's the thoughts running through my head. You're about to lose your license. You're worried about how succesful the V8 E30 build will be. You're about to get fired. You got some girl pregnant and might have to sell the V8 E30 to skip country. The police have finally tracked you down for selling P to 12 year olds? Please put my mind at ease and explain
  19. Yeh, the M30 probably sounds better! plus you can get one of those badass turbocharging dynamics kits!
  20. Ahh, the BMW favourite! http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=3082
  21. I'll do it! I opened this post expecting a lovely uplifting story involving the kindness of strangers, maybe a new car or a lottery win.. Doesn't sound that bad! hopefully tommorow will be better! Today was my last day of work! So I'm on holiday/job hunt mode for the next little while.
  22. I drive in a manner that involves getting to the speed limit as fast as possible, not deviating from that speed limit for most corners and planting the right foot hard out of corners that I do slow down for. Basically I'm wanting a bunch more power low down (the M42 feels dead below 4500rpm/40kph) to get me off the line a fair bit quicker and punch me out of corners in a bigger hurry. M52B28 sounds about what I want to be honest, but an M50B25 would be almost as good! Ideally: worked M52 ~ 200hp / stock S50, 5-speed manual, different differential ratio. But for now, stocker M52B28 or M50 & 5 speed manual would be great.
  23. Cheer's for that, when suits you to come around and have a look? The E36 is getting new brake goodies at around 2:30 tommorow, Mintex 1166 pads for a bit more bite and new fluid. Going to put a new set of tyres on the factory 16's also.
  24. More photo's.. http://www.youre92.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=349
  25. Seems like it only kills a dozen or so top end horsepower and if you've got 400+ anyway, what's losing a few for engine protection..
