Anyone in Auckland that have the capability of creating CAD file (.dxf files) for camshafts? Like the one pictured below. Would like a particular cam profile created if possible.

Not sure how long it'll be on youtube, great watch if you are a F1 fan.

Ok I compared the wiring to a brand new unit I had and that had part number 7892264 and the wiring is identical between the two unit, so I am presuming it is the 433Mhz radio version. Here are the wiring photos anyway.

I don't believe M3 oval mirrors were ever infrared, I could be wrong however. No part number sticker on it unfortunately, but I could get a photo of the plug up just to be sure.

Brand new. Fits genuine M3 CSL front bumper and I suppose the Vorsteiner replica bumper - will not fit anything else unless it is a 1:1 replica of the genuine front bumper. Pre preg carbon fiber autoclave finish with predrilled double mounting holes on the bottom. Very strong and well made, in fact I would go as far as to say better made than the genuine splitters. Genuine splitters are over $500 each Bargain at $600 for the set. These are also a MK1 splitter design so they clip into the bumpers a lot better than current MK2/3 designs which are known to fall off at speeds.

Perfect condition, no leaks but doesn't appear to have had new glass replaced before. $300

Correct, Jap spec CSLs came with the stock OE 19s as standard specification and the CSL BBS wheels and Cup tyres as an optional track only set, reason being (and this to me was a rather weird reason given the sort of tyres you could buy in Japan Domestic markets), the Michelin Cups were not road legal in Japan back in 2003 Brand new CSLs were RRP NZ$205,000 in NZ from memory.

You can buy plug and play NBT (next best thing) systems online for all old bmws now, expensive but very cool. Just google NBT in e46 you'll get links to two major suppliers of these systems. Complete solutions that even idiots can install.

I just need the centre section of the fabric to be perfect, the alcantara bits can be ripped to pieces it doesn't matter. Must be cheap or free if there's such a thing!!

Fantastic seller to deal with, even drove out my way to help out with getting these to me!! Cheers SJ!

I'll take the trims for $60 .... Where abouts on the Shore are you located?? I might need to find someone to grab these for me, PM me your bank account details.

Hate to tell you those wipers fit like sh*t ... Tried them and binned them. Doesn't fit the e46 windscreen very well.

Match the software to the period of the car you are working on - these factory softwares are designed for specific periods and specific models, having the latest software doesn't equate to better functionality - in fact you lose functionality in some of the later stuff and they simply don't communicate with the earlier stuff as well - also some of the later stuff don't have both metric and imperial readings so you get inaccurate live readings. For anything pre 2005, you really only need EDIABAS 6.4.3 and no older.

I am not worried, it's a car.

That's cheap again that UK car and I know exactly the one you are speaking of. There's an even more expensive one for sale and I know of two sitting in a bubble LOL. In Germany you'd be paying NZ$220,000 for something like the one just sold here. So I call this owner a bit too desperate to let it go for that sort of money. If I was investing in one however I'd buy one in Sapphire black and LHD. He should be concerned about someone smashing into it .. and it's not just NLA parts, even parts that are readily available have increased in prices by as much as 500%. Break one of those aluminium rear arms and he'll be crying just to get replacements!
-
He should see what these are going for in Germany!! Easily double what this guy sold his for (in my opinion far too cheap). Bargain this one whoever bought it. I do have a concern about owning one of these to be honest now, as so many parts are now NLA, you'd almost need a car and a spare just to keep one running in the future. Shame really. But I guess that's one way these are appreciating. I am seriously contemplating pulling the motor out of mine and putting it on an engine stand and putting a stock S54 in there and tune it to run as a CSL given I have all the tools and knowledge to do so. Blow one of these engines up and you'll never get another one now.
-
That's going to get destroyed fairly quickly on rally stages! Aren't those splitters really hard to come by?? Why not run a replica and keep the genuine??
-
They can be disassembled. i have disassembled tons of these in the past to fix bolsters, it does not require unstitching. The whole thing can be taken apart. There's even a way to fix the seat back wobble that's common on these from usage.

SR3s, SR4s have separate belt holes and a taller headrest.

e46 subframe bushing Solid or Powerflex or OEM
M3_Power replied to tonylauno1's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
I have friends in the uk that run solid rear subframe bushing in CSLs and they have told me emphatically that you'd hardly notice any significant NVH as a result over the stock bushing. It's not like an engine mount or a shock absorber spherical bearing mount. The E92 M3 wasn't designed on solid rear bushings ... Only the F80 M3/4 was. -
e46 subframe bushing Solid or Powerflex or OEM
M3_Power replied to tonylauno1's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
The F80 M3/4 run solid rear subframe bushings ala the old E92 M3 GTS ... It is simply brilliant for a road car. So I am not sure what all this negativity is about? The rear subframe floor will tear the same way with rubber or solid bushings, It makes no difference as the torque loading from the differential loading and unloading is verticle and upwards on the front right and downwards on the rear left not side to side. In fact I would wager that the solid bushings will probably place less stress on the verticle torque load as there's no actual verticle movement as you get in the rubber bushings. Force = mass x acceleration. -
Friend of mine in the UK was going to get one until he saw it in person at the launch, then he decided to buy this instead as it's roughly the same money after attending the launch day for them previously. Apparently only 3 new ones remain and all are spoken for.
