Bellars Auckland North shore is the same - sign on the wall. I have a local mechanic that does my work and they will use parts I supply but when I first asked they weren't exactly keen 🙂 I've always imagined a profit margin in the parts dept right - they buy at a discount but charge customer full ticket so they would be missing that component perhaps.

I feel like the search options don't always capture detail like they used to... Seems people enter their rego and just go with whatever the lazy border data was. I'm looking for a e46 coupe at present and often find them listed in 330i or 325i - not 330ci or 325ci. Even searching by number of doors doesn't seem to work...

Yeah I get people spend a lot on their project car but unsure how much of that cost you can tack on to the sale price... Might be just getting old and grumpy though 🙂

Big english guy ran it - had gym equipment in the workshop. Installed in my white 1995 Celica gt4. Had rca inputs on the back and you could take screen grabs from movies etc.

I bought a Kenwood as recommended by Olaf (thanks dude). Got one with a cd player in the end - for my son's birthday. We installed it in his z3 the other week 🙂 In the good old days I used to visit Paul Money's showroom off Dominion road and lust after an Alpine cdr-7998r (at least I think that was the model...). First mechanised Alpine headunit at the time - when off it retracked back into the unit. Alas student allowance didn't wasn't sufficent to buy it. Bought a cheap clarion unit instead for my rusty mk3 spitfire! Take a look at some vintage stuff here

Think NZ couriers are sh*t. Ordered 3 things: One from wellington, one from CHCH and one from Highland park Auckland. I'm in Browns Bay. Wellington was next day. CHCH took 3 days. Highland park was just over a week... Pass the parcel.

Quick looks shows $900 odd for one of those - can't justify that.

It's been a while since I've done any in car audio stuff. Pioneer used to be my go to for cheap and reliable. What are people using these days for their 90's BMW's? Just looking for bluetooth, usb and somewhat fitting to the dash look (amber etc).

That red is a lot but I love the gauges!
