Autoglym Paint Renovator is GOD if you can find any, and a decent power buffer. I have an incredible dvd of this Pommy groomer attacking the most faded red BMW you have ever seen. The results are magnificant.

What a bummer. Who'd steal a number plate? I'm pretty sure than any new plate made these days are the white ones with the ugly font. I doubt you'd be able to get an original black one made again.

M42s built before 11/93 have a profile gasket (Timing Case Profile Gasket) problem. Something to do with using crappy rubber for the gaskets. I have no idea how you would check it. Maybe just ask if its been replaced under warranty.

My parents owned one new way back in 1993, and it caused them nothing but problems. The damn thing seemed cursed, everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong. Thank god for the warranty, and when it ran out they sold it to some unlucky chum.

Are you serious? I've seen worse Zinnoberrots made mint with a bit of Autoglym Paint Renovator and a Power Buffer. Throw a weekend at it, i'm sure that paint will come out lovely.

Remember the shitty exchange rate back in 2000 and how new BMWs are almost twice what they are new in the US. I'd say $100,000.

Horrible. I can see why they pulled it. An absolutely pointless idea. "The world's fastest saloon car, now a convertible" They should have spent the time and money developing an 8-series convertible. An 850CSi Convert would have really blown the pants off any Mercedes equivilant. Edit: Spelling

My God, do you listen? Short answer - it WON'T or it will be prohibitively expensive in which case would be a lot cheaper just to buy a 330i. Glenn is right - he knows his stuff. If he says you can't do it, there's very little chance you would be able too.

It was one of those horrid things Mr Jensen (when he owned the BMW franchise until '87) brought in and then did the kit here. The kit has been on it since new. There's a red one floating around too that his wife drove. I guess he liked the M3s but couldn't afford to bring one of them over here.
